It did not help with me either, but I do not want to kill sharks just because they do what they are meant to do.

I helped with the shark protection project here in American Samoa. I will add my name to any shark protection petition.

Sharks are in big trouble world wide as there populations are decreasing rapidly. The main reason is overfishing for their Fins that are used in making shark fin soup. The fins are often cut off and the sharks body is then thrown back into the ocean.

Sharks as of August 2012 are now protected here in American Samoa.

Some scientific group worked out that each shark (grey nurse sharks) in Aliwal Shoal (South Africa) was worth about $1 million each year to the tourism industry.

So they are not only important players in the oceanic food chain, they are very valuable to those on land as well.
