and how fast does the sun travel through the galaxy? and how fast does the galaxy travel through the universe? and how fast does the universe travel through the universe? ......

Oh ya. Ok, I was thinking about this idea too.
The sun rises in the east, so we're spinning in a counter clockwise direction looking down at the North Pole. Also, we're travelling in a counterclockwise around the sun, looking top down at the north pole.
I think that means during the day as we sit on the surface, our rotation is going towards the tail end of Earth's orbit of the sun, and then during the night the Earth's rotation is adding to the speed of the earth around the sun.
Slightly slower speed during the day, and slightly faster at night?

The earth spins around we get dark and light,night and day and takes 26 thousand years to go around the Sun we are coming to the end of the 26 thousand years on the 21 dec 2012 the night skies we see the stars etc are the skies our fathers mayans talk about,may well be they are right as there is no human alive been at the 26 thousand year point all new to us as it was to the mayans.
