How about they are prophetic like the metal statue in Da.2. A vision that had no events happen during the time is was given to Neb and to the writer of Revelation.
Seal 1 is God riding and that marks the start of the prophecies unfolding that must happen before the return can take place. The fulfillment is the 'fire from the alter' which is prayers from the Saints so it is something like Saul experienced and it would be the sealing of the 144,000, some Gentiles that fit the temple verses in Re.11 and the two witnesses just before the 1st trump sounds.

Seal 2 is the red sword, the sword left to the Governments in Romans 13 is used against the people it is supposed to protect

Seal 3 if food shortages and black is the color because many will die of starvation in the few years before the return.

Seal 4 is death and hell and fulfillment is in the 3 1/2 years that it takes for the 5th and 6th trumps to unfold.

Seal 5 is people like the 2 witnesses in that they die in the service of God and that is the last 2 that will ever die. They are also the first to be resurrected.

Seal 6 is a reference to the events that start with the 7th trump sounding, that results in the 7 vials being poured out on 2/3 of mankind.

Seal 7 (12 hour of silence)is the end of the vials and the beginning of the resurrection of the people that died and they qualify for the Re.20:4 list of who will be alive.

The first 4 trumps will all sound in 4 days but the deaths that start with the 4th trump will continue until the 7th trump sounds.
