BREAKING Petraus will NOT Testify at Benghazi Hearing

NEIL CAVUTO HAS JUST REPORTED (4:15 PM EST) THAT PETRAEUS WILL NOW NOT BE TESTIFYING AT NEXT WEEK’S BENGHAZI HEARING….CBS BACKS CAVUTO REPORT, PER NATIONAL REVIEW: CBS’ Mark Knoller tweets that “Senate Intelligence Committee says Petraeus will not testify at next week’s closed hearing on the events in Benghazi.”

Perhaps there is some protocol I’m unaware of, but I don’t see why resigning should affect whether Petraeus testifies or not. He was in charge of the CIA when the Benghazi attack occurred, and the CIA has been under plenty of fire for how the attack was handled.

The fact that nobody has connected Valerie Jarrett's remarks about what they were going to do after Obama won, and this situation is remarkable.

It's like nobody remembers. This is complete and total character assassination, and removal of a political enemy/witness to their crimes. A lot of this sort of thing is going to happen. Valerie Jarrett said it would. It's going to be so blatant that it will just become known that Obama is a defacto dictator of old, with a brutal hand.

No, he quit becaue he didnt want to testify, Same reason Hilary and everyone else connected with this will depart.there will be noone to testify.the funny thing is the MSM and all these democrats will beleive that they departed for other reasons,even though its so obviouse.

I'm not sure about this, but I think, if he were still in his role as CIA director, he would have to testify, but as a civilian, he can plead the 5th.

I'm most surprised that the head of the CIA gave in so easy. J. Edgar Hoover wouldn't have been pushed over by someone lower then him like the President of the USA.

Hoover would have sent an official CIA letterhead that said "Fuck you Mr. President". And the pres would have sent a thank you note back.

This is the organization that built the SR-71 in absolute secrecy for gods sale and your telling me this guy quite over a freaking relationship???

There is nothing to the Benghazi story anyway. That's why it has never been reported on by a creditable news source.

You need to contact the families of the SEALS and tell them there was nothing to the story...they could use the news.

If this was a neocon plot, then why the Stand Down order from the White House?!?!? They had over seven hours to knock this out of the park, but they did nothing. When Carter Ham tried to disobey orders and send in his ready team of Delta's, he was relieved from command by the White House...

Actually the exact opposite theory is floating around Military and Congressional circles, and I do have confirmation of that.

Obama was looking for an October surprise, a mob attacks a consulate because of the pre-contrived story about an obscure youtube video (which was actually rolled out in press releases during the attack, and when the youtube video had less than 1000 views.) Our Ambassador is taken hostage by the mob (because he stayed behind in a supply closet while the rest of the consulate staff fled to the CIA Annex for some unexplained reason). Obama negotiates his release prior to the election, making himself very presidential and a hero to the American people.

There is a lot of real evidence coming to light supporting this theory as well...

First the Obama Admin has known ties to the Muslim Brotherhood (who also arranged the cover protests in Egypt, again because of a youtube video no one had ever heard of) and it turns out the Terrorist's were led by Egyptians...

Then the administration paid Egypt 1.3 Billion just days after 9/11...

The plan would have worked if two former SEALS working as contract security for the CIA hadn't disobeyed the stand down order and gone to help at the consulate. Sparking a 7+ hour fire fight, viewed in the White House Situation Room via a drone filming the entire thing, that indvertantly caused the consulate to catch on fire killing Ambassador Stevens, who was patiently waiting in the supply closet to be taken, by carbon monoxide poisoning.

Ask yourself:

Why did the White House issue stand down orders when Military help was just minutes away?

Why did the White House have this story about an obscure youtube video that no one had ever seen ready to roll out via press release even as the attack was going on, with some evidence the press release had been prepared for days prior to the attack and the Egyptian protests?

Why did Stevens stay behind when the rest of the consulate staff was allowed to flee to the Annex basically unmolested?

Why did the Libyan police who were gaurding the consulate simply melt into the night before the attack even began?

Why didn't they increase security at the Libyan consulate, despite several probing operations happening months prior to the attack, and on 9/11, when security was increased for 9/11 at several other locations, including Egypt?

This stinks to high heaven, and the only ones with the power and people in place to pull this off was the Obama admin itself...

Overreact? This is a trump card play (at best) by the TPTB. If the affair was known a year beforehand, then why not a concurrent release? This was done either by design with both Petraeus and his accusers complicit or... it is a true trump card used to quell any rebellion to a hidden agenda.

The way it looks to me is that it was not Petraeus (the man) who was to testify, it was the head of the CIA. This week's hearings still hear from the "head" of the CIA as planned. It just won't be "the man" who recently held that job. Technicality, but still the way it is.

Petraeus, the private man, can testify later. His input would still be extremely important, but he would not be testifying as the current head of the CIA, that's all.

Personally, I don't trust him or any of these major players.

If he does decide to testify, I'd suggest that he not have a few drinks with friends at a neighborhood bar and then decide to walk home.
