BREAKING Petraus will NOT Testify at Benghazi Hearing

So, if he's just being questioned, with no criminal charges against him, he can still be compelled to testify? Well, that blows my theory as to why he quit. How does his resignation help Obama if he can still be forced to cooperate?

I agree with the fact that he knew what Obama did and what has been happening with the Middle East.

Having an affair may not be the whole story, it is just an acceptable may for him to be dismissed without speaking what he may know.

I agree with a subpoena being issued for him to testify.

The way it looks to me is that it was not Petraeus (the man) who was to testify, it was the head of the CIA. This week's hearings still hear from the "head" of the CIA as planned. It just won't be "the man" who recently held that job. Technicality, but still the way it is.

Petraeus, the private man, can testify later. His input would still be extremely important, but he would not be testifying as the current head of the CIA, that's all.

Personally, I don't trust him or any of these major players.

Why would someone who is in the limelight and under the microscope as the director of the CIA jeopardize his career in this fashion? This affair and the timing with which it was released smells rotten to the top.

Petraeus, like any other soldier has given an oath to preserve, protect and defend the US and its constitution. If there is infidely (true or not), then why would that be a deterrent or roadblock in telling the truth concerning the execution of his sworn duty to defend this country and its principles?

There was the intent to testify, and now due to personal reasons he decides not to? Isn't that selfish, and somewhat treasonous?

Let's get this straight. He quits over an affair, but its OK to run an organization that has a license to kill and run dope. Gotcha! The fact that nobody has connected Valerie Jarrett's remarks about what they were going to do after Obama won, and this situation is remarkable.

It's like nobody remembers. This is complete and total character assassination, and removal of a political enemy/witness to their crimes. A lot of this sort of thing is going to happen.
