Quoting: Anonymous Coward 27412420 highly doubtful. Most people or 'sheeple' are doing more important things like living their lives, having children, and loving. What freedom do you expect to gain that you don't already have? You think you will have no taxes? You want automatic weapons? You plan to end the drug war? States can adopt laws that go against what the feds vote for, even if it's technically not legal. I suggest going that route instead. What are the feds going to do about it if enough states legalize marijuana or whatever the issue might be? With republicans in control of congress, it will be a stalemate the next 4 years, which is fine. The last thing we need are more laws. Less laws would be preferable when it comes to individual liberties. The republicans don't seem to understand this. They still want to legislate morality. |

Anonymous Coward User ID: 23393274 Norway 11/10/2012 10:21 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | It won't pass. Everyone on social security, welfare and getting federal grants and federal employees would vote against it. Wouldn't they have to move out of texas to get their social security? Quoting: Anonymous Coward 1040255 If everyone in Texas started paying taxes to Texas instead of the idiots in D.C. there would be plenty of money for Social Security. Most of the Welfare people who are just sucking the tit would GTFO of Texas and the Federal employees could go to D.C. and beg. |

Once Demerica collapses into chaos, the Remerica can take it back over one state at a time. Quoting: JBG 27440367 Jammoramma!! Let the Demericans try to feed off each other for a while and see how long it lasts. |

Anonymous Coward User ID: 27412420 Canada 11/10/2012 10:41 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | mexico would invade and take over if Texas seceded. That is why Texas begged to be admitted to the Union in 1845. They could not fight back effectively against Mexican military incursions. They didn't have much success against Comanches either. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 20759971 LOL that was 1845. Texas has nukes and a shitload of tanks, troops and warplanes. |
