They are feeling, I feel great since I normally donít eat breakfast even though I should. I add it to a juice and hit the road. Adding it to juice makes a jelly like shield around the seed and I think thatís what make me feel "Fuller". I also eat Hemp seeds.

This is not good advice for everybody. In general, depending on the system of medicine you use, there are generally three constitutions: the long-thins, the short-thicks, and those right in the middle. Try googling "tridosha." For those in the middle, consistent morning fasting is a pretty good idea and is well tolerated. For the short-thicks (kapha), it could be disastrous. These folks need something to get their liver going in the morning. With no stimulation, it can fall seriously behind in both protein synthesis and sugar management. Coupled with this, don't eat right before bed. During sleep, the liver is building needed proteins for the following day.... working ahead, if you will. If there is food coming into it, along with proteins, carbs and toxins to sort through, it doesn't get the prep work done. Additionally, in short-thicks especially, it tends to make lots of sugars and prepare them for storage...... in your belly. This can, over the long term, lead to some pretty serious health issues in systems all over the body.

Maybe I should just listen to my body and eat when Iím hungry.
I always felt I was force feeding myself for breakfast but I feel good with liquid and the seed.
Thanks for the info ill check it out.

Why would you force yourself? I never eat breakfast, rarely lunch as I usually don't have hunger until later in the afternoon. Sometimes I'll do a protein shake, but everyone is different.

I need to get some more I added chia seeds to my diet along with fiber and taking some good vitamins and minerals. I noticed that I was able to eat a lot less and still function well aka blood sugar levels were leveled out. And I had lost 30lbs or more in the year. At one point 8 in less than a month.

Gained about 5lbs back need to return to the diet

I take them about 20 min. before I go for a run. I put some in water with lime juice and sugar. Let sit for a few min. then stir and drink. I swear about mile 3-4 I get this awesome burst of energy. I'n not gassed at the end of my run and feel great.

I think I may have said this before, but I have my daughters asking for chia pudding that I make. I just take some chia gel (chia already soaked in water), sprinkle with a bit more seeds and add raw milk. Let it soak for about 15 minutes, add a bit of sweetener and cocoa powder. They love it!

It must be, the kids are eating the food I got for me!! lol Funny...I tried to tell them it was "fish eyes" at first. I swear if I ate poop on a plate they'd want some, but then I make absolutely delicious homemade dinners they won't touch.

Re: CHIA SEEDS!!! ANY ONE TRY IT? PLEASE SHARE YOUR EXPERIENCES...
What are the top ten ways you benefit from eating chia seeds?
The top 10 benefits of eating chia seeds seen here are in no particular order. Which one is most important to you? You can expierience all of the following benefits when you order MySeeds Chia.
1. Lose Weight Without Starving

The Chia Seed is a dieterís dream come true. The tiny, healthy seeds can be made to taste like whatever you want, and their unique gelling action keeps you feeling full for hours. Hunger is a main enemy of real weight loss, and you donít want to fight it with jittery expensive pills. When a chia seed

is exposed to water, it forms a coating of gel, increasing its size and weight. Since the gel made of water, it has no calories. Itís also difficult to remove from the seed, meaning that it helps your body think it is full, without adding calories!
2. Balance Blood Sugar

Keeping balanced levels of blood sugar is important for both health and energy. Blood sugar may spike after meals, especially if you eat high-starchy foods or sweets. This can lead to Ďslumpsí in your day where you feel tired and out of energy. By balancing your blood sugar, you not only lower your risk for type 2 diabetes, but you also ensure steady, constant energy throughout your day.

But how does the Chia Seed help with this? Both the gelling action of the seed, and itís unique combination of soluble and insoluble fiber combine to slow down your bodyís conversion of starches into sugars. If you eat chia with a meal, it will help you turn your food into constant, steady energy rather than a series of ups and downs that wear you out.

3. Help Prevent Diverticulitis / Diverticulosis

With the abundance of over-processed foods and white flour on the market today, rich sources of fiber are harder to come by. These foods of convenience have contributed to the rise of diverticulitis. Irregularity is a

big factor in this risky condition. To help ensure regularity, you need plenty of soluble and insoluble fiber in your diet. If you donít want to eat celery, and whole-grain everythingÖor piles of bran flakes, the Chia Seed is here to help. Each seed is coated with soluble fibers which aid its gelling action. The exterior of the seed is protected by insoluble fiber. The insoluble fiber is unable to be digested (it does not contribute any calories, or break down) so instead, it helps keep food moving smoothly through the digestive process. Soluble fiber, and the gel coating of the seed keeps the colon hydrated and ensures the easy movement of food.

4. Add healthy omega-3 oil to your diet

Omega-3 oil is usually thought of as ďthat healthy stuff in fishĒ. But, what if you donít want to eat fish every day? What if youíre a vegetarian, or simply worried about pollution adding harmful substances to your fish dinner?

Chia is the richest plant-source of this healthy oil. By weight, chia contains more omega 3 than salmon, and it still tastes like whatever you want! Omega 3 oil is important in heart and cholesterol health. Itís also recently been targeted as a weight-loss helper. USA Weekend magazine also reports on a study where overweight dieters who included omega 3s in their eating plan lost 2 more pounds monthly than the control group, who did not.
5. Feel more energized all day long

Donít want to feel like taking an afternoon nap? Your energy levels have a lot to do with what you eat. Chia is one of natureís highest plant-based sources of complete protein. Usually protein from items like peanut butter

and some beans are incomplete, meaning you have to combine them with other foods to get the full benefit. Not Chia though, itís protein is complete to raise your energy levels. The combination of complete protein, vitamins, minerals and blood-sugar balancing gel all work together to make sure you have steady, never jittery energy.

6. Bake with less fat

Do you enjoy making baked goods at home, but hate all the butter and oil that has to go into them? Chia gel can substitute for half the butter in most recipes! The food will bake the same and taste the

same (or better) from the addition of the chia gel. All you need to do is divide the amount of butter or oil in half, and then use the same amount of chia gel to fill in. The anti-oxidants in chia can even help keep the food tasting fresh longer. Everything from cookies to cakes to muffins, pancakes and waffles can be made with chia gel as your butter replacement. Which recipe will become your new favorite?
7. Add age-defying anti-oxidants

Anti-oxidants have been in the news lately due to their super healthy benefits. You know that blueberries and several exotic fruits (that arenít always in season) have them, but did you know that chia is extremely high in anti-oxidants too? These helpful substances are what makes the Chia Seed stay .

fresh for so long. At room temperature, theyíll stay fresh and ready to eat for over two whole years! And thatís all without a single chemical or preservative. This amazing ability is not found in other seeds like flax or sesame, because those seeds donít have the same rich anti-oxidant content.

Anti-oxidants help prevent free-radical damage in your body. Free radicals lead to problematic conditions such as premature aging of the skin and inflammation of various tissues. Fight free radical damage by staying fresh and healthy with natureís anti-oxidant powerhouse

I discussed this on page 2 or so. Chia actually repairs EFA absorption sites in the lower gut. This improves overall absorption, regardless of source.

I drink a lot of chai tea, but haven't tried incorporating the seeds into my diet. Just haven't gotten around to it yet. I'll have to make my way to the food co-op in the next few days to get some. hf

"chai" is just the word used in most of the rest of the world for "tea", the english/American language word.

Juxtapose the vowels to get Chia, the seed talked about here.

Re: CHIA SEEDS!!! ANY ONE TRY IT? PLEASE SHARE YOUR EXPERIENCES...
These seeds are great. I lost over 60 pounds back a couple of years ago eating these. Sadly,I stopped, because I didn't think to add them to different foods and just ate the gel after it sat in the fridge for several hours, I'd eat about a cup and half of the gel before each meal with a glass of water, and it greatly reduces your appetite. Best thing about it, was that I could eat what I enjoyed, but ate much much less of it thanks to these seeds. This time around, I will be more creative. So far, I've added two tablespoons to two tablespoons of yogurt and drink two glasses of water right after, and within minutes, I feel full already, and eat less at my meals. I'll be adding it to cottage cheese, salad dressings, lemon poppy seed muffins, sugar free jello, and as someone mentioned here, add it to yogurt for a fruit dip. Lots of great suggestions in this thread as to how to eat them so you don't get bored with the gel.

Some lady posted about making it into a candy with peanut butter and cocoa. I used to make it with the chia seeds, cocoa, and coconut oil- nice, healthy candy, and would sure love to try it with peanut butter, too!
