Don't be deluded. There is NO WAY IN HELL that this will gain any traction.

Louisiana is one of the richest states when it comes to resources. With a decent amount of energy reserves, tremendous refining capabilities, a large percent of the Strategic Reserves stored here, access to the Gulf of Mexico, pipelines, the supertanker loop, a large regional Halliburton stronghold, control over the entry to the Mississippi River, large amounts of farm land, abundant fisheries, and a clean and abundant water supply (for now).... there is NO WAY that the fed would allow even the thought of succession to advance.

They would kill every citizen in Louisiana to maintain control over the state's resources. The state's have become far too weak both financially and militarily to stand any chance.

Any person advancing this will become a terrorist.

Withdraw? That methane-ridden sinkhole is going to BLAST them out of the union!

this is an excellent Idea and the Citizens of the Louisiana and all the other prominant southern states have the right do petition to secede for their own benefit.

The ideas is great, I am all for it, and would move down south if the secede because the United States is done financially, morally, and will crumble within 10 years.

The Feds of course would move to smash the southern states militarily if they did this, but its well worth it.

Freedom isnt free, and must be fought for to have.

You either fight for your freedom, or sit down and shut up. Theres no in between.

Although not a state...Washington DC.

Many small states in the Northeast do not have the resources to survive and thrive on their own.

I was referring to the fact that LA has VAST resources and s very strategic location. Every state has something to offer, LA just happens to have plenty of what is NEEDED.

Although I do agree with secession at this time to deal with the traitors who pillaged America I cant agree with LA doing it at this time. The whole state could blow. Whos gonna help them if they do?

Are you kidding? After Katrina, BP and the COUNTLESS other failures in our state by the feds they have proven incapable of repairing anything. They only exist down here to cover things up so their corporate buddies can sleep well at nights knowing that their profits are secured.

We would rather take care of ourselves.....even if half of the state blew up I would rather be helped by Mexico and Cuba.

I would ditch my blue state in a hurry to help these dudes out.
