Anonymous Coward User ID: 13089936 United States 11/10/2012 04:12 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Whats most hilarious about this is... The White House now has the IP Addresses of everyone who signed that petition, and they're all about to be arrested for Sedition and Treason against the Union! Suceeding from the Union doesn't work this way guys, it starts through the State Government and its State Legislators. By putting that petition on the Whitehouse.gov website, you all just gave them your IP Addresses, to track down your exact location! LOL |

Another reason why it won't work. The petition has to come directly from the State Government itself, or it won't even be recognized by the White House or the U.S. Imperial Federal Government. So everyone signing that petition is just confirming directly the White House that they're willing to commit Treason against the United States of America. Treason, is an offense still punishable by Hanging. |

Treason, is an offense still punishable by Hanging. It is NOT treason to demand redress from the Federal Government. It is NOT treason to demand the Constitutional Right of secession when the Federal Government refuses to uphold the laws of this country, or follow the Constitution of the United States. Picking and choosing which laws it will follow, which laws it will ignore IS treason. Refusal to follow an illegal government is NOT treason. Being the illegal government IS treason. |

Anonymous Coward User ID: 25799108 United States 11/10/2012 04:59 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | ROFL!! Quoting: Anonymous Coward 9204853 Don't be deluded. There is NO WAY IN HELL that this will gain any traction. Louisiana is one of the richest states when it comes to resources. With a decent amount of energy reserves, tremendous refining capabilities, a large percent of the Strategic Reserves stored here, access to the Gulf of Mexico, pipelines, the supertanker loop, a large regional Halliburton stronghold, control over the entry to the Mississippi River, large amounts of farm land, abundant fisheries, and a clean and abundant water supply (for now).... there is NO WAY that the fed would allow even the thought of succession to advance. They would kill every citizen in Louisiana to maintain control over the state's resources. The state's have become far too weak both financially and militarily to stand any chance. Any person advancing this will become a terrorist. Militarily? Really? Do you think that the brave men and women in our military would go into this state or any other and run over the citizens? Although I do believe that this corrupt one world President would send in U.N. troops. However, lest you forget, there are several thousand gun owners in Louisiana alone ... ( Louisiana: Population: 4,492,076, NICS background checks per 100,000 residents: 13,329 --- * those that are registered that is :) Thank God for the wisdom of our Founding Fathers. |

It would be an act of Sedition and Treason if a state decided to do it against a just and Constitutional Federal power. However, the last four years have proven that this Presidential Administration is anything but just and Constitutional. When you look up the writings of John Adams and Thomas Jefferson, it is clear that under this current corrupt Federal government, the people of the several states have been more than patient and if they were with us now, would probably be asking why in the hell haven't you revolted yet? |

Individual citizens are not capable of treason. They are protected for their free speech. They would have to aid the enemy in war time after declaration of war , is the only way. You do know a petition is a form of protest don't you? So don't get your panties in a wad. If the proper channels wanted to act on the petition protest , then of course it would be a different story. At that point if you joined a revolt it would be bad. This protest petition is asking the federal government to allow the state to leave the union peacefully . Thus to grant the ok. Anything after that is something else. Last Edited by <x> on 11/10/2012 05:49 PM |

Because it shows other state citizens are ok with La leaving the union. They are telling the federal government to allow it on the behalf of their state. Now talking of a legal secession. I don't believe there will ever be one. |
