but as a yank, could those of you guys in the EU explain how being in the EU has made life good and bad for you guys?

Well I'm hoping that whatever gold reserves that we have left after stupid Gordon Brown sold it off when it was around $280 - $320, ain't in the Bank of Beverley Hills under someone else's name...like apparently the Germans gold reserves are.

There's no good, only richer countries who work hard and can't retire until they're 66 paying for countries like France, socialists with huge state employers retiring at 55/60 with fat pensions, and Greeks who fiddle everything and don't pay a penny in taxes. Then there's the wonderful idea of free right of residence in every EU country, which means immigrants all head straight for - you've guessed it - the UK.

The sooner the better in my eyes.

However we will still need to get rid of these idiots in the 2 party system and introduce direct democracy, In the meantime I'm sticking with the British Constitution Party.

The British people in the know have a plan, and are mobilising!

Basically the richest countries (i.e. UK) pay 100's of millions of pounds to support the rest of Europe and Brussels come out with ridiculous laws that all of us have to adopt such as we can't have "cheese and onion potato chips" because they do not contain cheese and onion.

Won't be like that when we become the 51st state now will it

The UK has to give the EU something like 50 million a day, and it has to allow other EU countries to fish UK waters contributing to a net loss in export.. we have to comply with EU regs on import export to non EU countries and all sorts of nonsense thats without all the funny EU laws we have to adhere too.

Good riddance EU.

I dont disagree, but i think the only chance the people have is a reform of the system itself and because of the way the system is set up the only outsider of the three party paradigm is currently UKIP.

UKIP are not ideal as they are far too populist for and nationalist for me and not quite as libertarian as i would like, but they are better than the other three.

I'm so worried about Labour getting in next time i may have to vote Conservative just to stop that. It really all depends on how well the alternatives poll.

There is a good chance of UKIP getting MP's in the commons and winning the next EU elections. Thats the best chance anybody has at change at the moment.

Imagine how weird it would be if we adopted the US constitution, made Scotland, England, Wales separate states and gave them their own state governmental control.

Imagine if we merged parts of the commonwealth too.

The united commonwealth states of america, canada, australia, new zealand and the uk.

Superpower or what?, imagine how fucking strong that currency would be in comparison to the rest of the world if it was fixed on a gold standard.

Half the worlds military, 75% of the worlds wealth and we would all speak english.

Imagine the space program we could have. Could throw enough money at it to get back to the moon within a decade.

Russia china and india would shit their pants economically and militarily

That's an old way of thought, believing your future depends on others.
BCG are gathering ground with people who want freedom, we will not wait and 'ask' Gov to grant it to the people, we are the people and we will declare our way forward based on credit, NOT DEBT.

Check out the website do a little research, the future is what we want, not what the Eaton boys decide in their interests!

Fact of the matter is UKIP and other political parties and groups have been asking for referendums on europe on constitutions and electoral reform for decades, we the people have never been given it.

Its taken UKIP 15 years to start polling at around a measly 10%, which might have increased enough hopefully by the next election to start getting MP's in parliament and possibly even cause defections and enact change.

The system literally has to be changed from within.

Another group has formed recently which is called, 'we demand a referendum' id image it exists to split the UKIP vote at the next general.

People are not understanding that you need MP's annoying the shit out of the rest of the MP's in the commons and getting in the middle of every tiny piece of legislation or you will be ignored.

It doesn't matter how many petitions you deliver or how many 100 thousand protest votes you lodge, the only way to get change is to get enough MP's to stop labour or the conservates having a majority independently.

A new party would need people standing in hundreds of towns to be able to even have a shot, it would need millions of pounds to increase awareness and campaign for votes, its never going to happen and is a waste of time and effort. With the system we have now it would take 20 years to get close unless their was a huge shift in politics.

I honestly believe people have four realistic choices with the next election.

Labour Conservative Lib Dem or UKIP.. Nobody else will even get a sniff.

At best UKIP may displace some tory and some weak labour seats.

If the people are stupid, labour will win a majority and get back in, if the people are smart its probable neither labour or the tories will have enough to form a government and the lib dems will either form with the conservatives or labour, im not even sure UKIP will have enough to even impact government yet, they may get a large chunk of the national vote ( maybe as much as 15%), but i dont think they will win enough seats yet to impact the status quo.

What i do expect is the Lib Dems may drop as low as 8% in polls but will retain strong seats and lose weak ones.

why would you fix it on a gold standard? we would have the strongest currency in the world, nobody would be able to compete with it for at least 100 years. Keep it fiat, we would get to run higher debts.

What do we actually get from the EU for that money, apart from open boarders?

I wonder how much debt we would have worked up if we could have used that money here, for the things that really matter like jobs and infrastructure.

Well at least if we do leave we can use that £37million a day to pay the debts that joining the EU gave us.
