You know the best way to shop for a new TV?

First you go to a neighborhood that advertises it's wealth. You go on the day after Christmas. You then look for the big empty plasma TV box on the side of the curb.

Pick the right size for you and whomever is with you to carry, and don't make too much noise. You can also shop for whatever secondary items are around. For extra easyiness, look for the house where everyone is with someone else for the new year already.

Usually, the TV isn't installed on the wall yet and the occupants, if there are any, are drunk and dead asleep.

Be sure to grab the box too. If the popos ask you what you're doing out so late, you're just moving a gift for someone who drives a compact car.

Actually, as I can get to speak to a Canadian, just how effective is the yanks latest attempt to get support for yet another invasion?

To look at the us based media, its all but a forgone conclusion they want to wade in, and `everyone else' is supporting them
however most other countries- we only get to hear about it if we are speaking to a yank- certainly they aren't being painted as `the devil incarnate' that the us media apparently portrays them as, in fact most of us are apparently unaware of the wardrums being beaten in the usa at all, and I suspect that should the usa decide to start yet another war, they might find that their support is very thin on the ground indeed.

Our P.M. has many faults, but she's no howard (thank the flying spagetti monster), and I think that should the usa go to war, the `Coalition of the Lied To' this time around will pretty much be the usa and no one else...
