Once the government can't collect taxes at an economic rate of extraction (versus invested troops, police, tax collectors, etc.) it has to go away.

Doesn't even get to organised war. Just failure of governance.

And the government knows that it can not just run out and take away our guns in one day without a fight.

So here is how it will happen.

UN Gun Control Treaty will regulate gun import and export.

Then Obama will seat a left wing nut ( most likely homosexual) into the Supreme Court. Then a lawsuit will take the second amendment to the supreme court who will then rule the 2nd amendment to be interpreted that only the military is allowed guns and citizens are not.

They will then tax, fine, and control arms to the point that citizens can't afford to have a gun. Its the same way they have taken away cigarettes. If they just made them illegal, a war would have broke out. Instead they taxed it then banned it in buildings and its nearly collapsed.

They way I see it all but about 1 percent will turn there guns in. Us that don't will be a force to reckon with. 3,200,000 is a pretty big army.and we won't hit them head on, it will be a gorilla war, and you see how well they handle them. I will die free not a slave like SOME people

what are you basing the 3,200,000 figure on, 1% of the U.S population?

Babies, Children, illegals, government workers, women, the very old, non-gun owners as well as those incarcirated and disabled will have to be subtracted from your final tally of 3,200,000.

3,200,000 is a very innacurate and optimistic estimate...I assume that the hard-core resistence to gun confiscation will be in the hundreds of thousands which will dwindle to tens of thousands after the first arrests are made..
