To have a prospect of the situation it would be good to have statistics of % of marriage by age (usually made for 4 years groups 16-20, 20-24, 24-28, 28-32, 32-36, 36-40, 40-44, during the 4 year interval) but somehow I am unable to find them for the USA.

Last page (tables), column "never married", lines 35-39 and 40-44 years, 13% and 10.2% respectively. Assuming statistics for 2006-2010 will be repeated for the next 4 years, for a person that never married to be married (exist the group never married), the chance is:

13% population decreases 10.2 (falls 2.8%), the chance is:

2.8%/13% = 21.5% chance of marriage during the 4 year period (2010-2014).

As for me I'm in the same boat as you OP, and 41. It's really a bit sad because when we're you we think about living normal lifes, marrying and having kids.

For conspiracy thinkers it's really difficult to find someone, in case we want someone who can understand us (who doesn't?).

The practical solution is searching where they are easier to be found, but I belive that among people who believe in conspiracies, men outnumber women by far, but I might be wrong or (with a bit of lucky) just exagerating the situation.
