Part of the Entered Apprentice Degree /1st Degree oath:

Furthermore: I do promise and swear that I will
not write, indite, print, paint, stamp, stain, hue,
cut, carve, mark or engrave the same upon
anything movable or immovable, whereby or
whereon the least word, syllable, letter, or
character may become legible or intelligible to
myself or another, whereby the secrets of
Freemasonry may be unlawfully obtained through
my unworthiness.
To all of which I do solemnly and sincerely promise
and swear, without any hesitation, mental
reservation, or secret evasion of mind in my
whatsoever; binding myself under no less a penalty
than that of having my throat cut across, my
tongue torn out, and with my body buried in the
sands of the sea at low-water mark, where the
tide ebbs and flows twice in twenty-four hours,
should I ever knowingly or willfully violate this,
my solemn Obligation of an Entered Apprentice.
So help me God and make me steadfast to keep
and perform the same.

You have been warned twice now.

So if I let someone know secrets that where bestowed upon my ears, my throat will be slashed and my tongue will be cut out? Seems fair.. street justice, LOL. Makes sense, too. No more tongue to speak with. I tattooed Audi Vide Tace on my leg, wrapped around 3 roses and two doves, although I do talk a lot. Once I realized the severity and serious nature of my commitment, I doubt I would have any trouble keeping secrets. Stop fucking warning me. I don't mean to sound like a prick, but what are you people, who are giving me information while simultaneously "warning" me, trying to warn me of? Don't beat around the bush, please.

those who engage in this kind of practices, are mockers of Spirit. they were deceived, and in turn they deceive. using the force accepting an oath has upon one's soul, they trick many aspiring souls with false promises to bind themselves to dark agreements.

consider you've been warn thrice, friend :)

there is only one true oath that you should abide. and that is the one your heart pledges for the betterment of humanity. no other oath that makes you pledge yourself upon other individuals, of groups, to keep their secrets, to follow the superiors etc is true in Spirit.

if you have the courage of heart enter their temples of sin, and speak your soul's oath and accept no other.

otherwise, better not go there.

Re: I want to become a freemason..
How should I go about this? I know 2b1ask1, but how would I ensure acceptance? How do I know if someone is a mason? Should I just go to a local lodge? Are there any reasons why someone wouldn't be accepted? I'd like to know as much as I can before I make a decision.

You are a fool.

You'll be accepted.
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 27487053

Why am I a fool, and how do you know? Is it because I expressed my desire to be a freemason? Or just because of my desire to become one? Or something else entirely? I fancy myself a pretty intelligent person. Thanks for saying I would be accepted, though :)

Go to a lodge, apply to join. It's that simple. There's nothing scary or sinister about it. The wikipedia page will tell you all about the entry requirements.

I cant tell if you are all just trying to freak me out, or being serious. I wish somebody of stature, a known mason, would come into the conversation. I don't want to hear paranoid conspiracy theorists warnings. If i knew where the warning was coming from, and its source was reputable, I might see the need to heed.

Just say the OUr Father prayer and then sacifice a child and then your Father who art in heaven will give you some kind of heresy against Christ. For example Christ is an alien and not God and tell people that and make all this shit up so you get people to believe you and trust me you will get alot of believers because hardly anyone prays Our Lady's rosary. There you're a freemason. But freemasons beware Lucifer does not keep his promises. Whatever he promised throw it out the window. You will burn just like Pope John Paul 2.

That's a good analogy of "street justice" as EVERY society has secrets......even bikie/street gangs and they have a code which they swear by.

Re: I want to become a freemason..
There are a lot of people who "THINK" they know everything about Freemasonry and have never ever been in a Lodge.....but go on "hearsay"....from someone else, who heard it from so & so...and the list just goes on and on.
Worse than an old hen's meeting.........and I can honestly say......Women don't carry on that you lot do....they have more important gossip, than lecturing.

These poor misguided fools are the people who I regard as knowing nothing about nothing as NOTHING is learned and just..... who are they to lecture someone on something they know NOTHING about.
It does make me wonder if they did approach a Lodge and somehow, didn't get accepted or they are just plain jealous of people who want to "improve" themselves in society.

Now, you can "heed me with warnings" as much as you like also, but I say, you can just "shove 'em up ya jumper", as they won't affect me.

Re: I want to become a freemason..
skip all the silly oaths and dues and meetings and become a 33+ degree Freemason by reading this thread and eating the "manna",thread> 777 is the number of god because i am god...
How unfortunate for some rulers when men, women, and children continue to think... Keep repeating the lies loud enough and long enough and just maybe the people will start to believe the lies again and good luck with that...finding your energy open until mars becomes raging aries...

Why am I a fool, and how do you know? Is it because I expressed my desire to be a freemason? Or just because of my desire to become one? Or something else entirely? I fancy myself a pretty intelligent person. Thanks for saying I would be accepted, though :)

We have people here giving advice on something they know nothing about. What they do know, could be written on the back of sa postage stamp.

It's like going into a hair dressing salon and asking about the problems with your car? banana2

I just want better myself, and through me, my family. I want to learn things that can't be learned elsewhere. I want to feel a part of something, and a brotherhood sounds perfect.
