The Asian trip is not a vacation. Look at what he is doing; meeting with trade associations from various countries.

He's coming back with a NAFTA-like deal to encourage more US manufacturers to relocate there. (I didn't just make this up, I read it somewhere very recently. Of course somebody else could have made it up but we will see)

Did we really expect him to be worried or act differently, just because he begged for another chance?

There is not a darn thing the President and the Senate can do until the Republican held House stops screwing around.

Obama is ready to extend the tax break for the 98%. Senate has passed it already. Obama has his pen in pocket waiting on the Republican House.

Obama has a budget already submitted that will reduce the debt and help business and is willing to hear any suggestions from Congress to work with him.

Obama is going to let the Bush tax cuts expire. Like I said, he is waiting on the Republican held House to agree to a tax break on the people making under 250,000.

The Republican House wants to play lame duck. Call your Representatives and tell then to get to work.

Look, this is not some sort of holiday. Obama will be meeting with all the leaders of SE Asia at the annual ASEAN summit, and there will be a special ASEAN-US summit. Right now, it is critically important to engage SE Asia just as China has already made huge economic footholds in all these couder ntries, and they are making military moves in the South China Sea. If you have ever been to parts of Laos, Cambodia, or Burma, you will see that some areas are already owned and operated by China.

Burma is a keystone to China's strategic advances. They desperately want a southern naval port, and have already invested in rail and roads to get from the Chinese border to Rangoon. Obama's trip to Burma is a very real statement to China that Burma's (Myanmar) leadership does not consider themselves owned by China. It's no coincidence that Defense Sec. Panetta is on the trip.

It's not just strategy and the US pivot to Asia, it's also business. This region is the fastest growing economy in the world and has tremendous export potential.

This is a three day trip, and hardly a holiday or victory tour. The potential yield is important and massive.

Um yeah, "fiscal cliff" is a made up media term to get you all jacked. Don't be a moron.

Whatever you want to call it, there is no chance that going over a "fiscal cliff" will happen. Neither side in Congress wants to see that, and even if they cannot reach agreement, a temporary measure will be passed to allow for more time.

People are just getting jacked up over a non-event.
