Jhamil, I have just come from Miggy's thread, and you said some pretty rude things to her. And not just once, either. Miggy is not the sort to give red karma, nor am I, but it becomes a real temptation when someone keeps posting nasty things. It really makes you look like a bully, which I hope you are not.

You may be "telling it like it is", but there are kinder ways of getting the same point across rather than being so harsh.

Before the "Karma" meter went on line, a lot of people posted their concerns that only the posters that are deeply entrenched in group-think and sucking up to authority would get "good" karma. For the most part, they were right.

I'd give ya a thumbs up for "freedom of speech"

I stopped being a paid member of GLP because of the Karma system. I managed to stay in the green, but it was annoying to give long, well thought out statements that someone would take offense too and pan, attacking along with a few buddies without real reason.

I'd mention that, contrary to popular opinion here, Global warming does seem to be showing up in the science and would get ten or twenty red hits in a day.

People given the ability to punish others without cost to themselves will do so. At least the bad ones.

What would be more fair is if the person giving negative Karma was required to take one themselves for doing it.

You'd see that some people had solid red bars then, because of their own hate and desire to control others.
