Roland Cube amp vs Orange PPC108 amp?!
The Roland is 15w (should be loud enough) and has the ability to adjust treble/bass.

The orange amp as far as I can tell has no dials for bass/treble.

The orange amp is smaller and cheaper.

Anyone got either?

It is to run an mp3 player through, not a guitar.

The roland is a great amp, good sound

Also look at the Fender G-Dec 15 watt modeling amp

I have both the cube and the fender...I like the Cube a little more for any kind of live playing, the fender for practice with a headphone or recording

Roland makes good natural sounding apps, that cube 15 would work fine for solo play in a small apt, otherwise get something with more power

Re: Roland Cube amp vs Orange PPC108 amp?!
No guitar amp will be right for playing mp3's through. Typically amps are voiced for the instrument to be played through it...

Why dont you just buy a powered computer subwoofer system instead? It will be voiced for a wider frequency range than a guitar amp.

Conversely...if you are determined to use something not suited for its application then get a cheap powered p.a. speaker [monitor] it will work as the amp would but have a bit wider frequency range more suited to playing mp3s...

just a thought

I guess everyone who posts about religion, the Government, or pretty much everything else that should be common knowledge by now, is retarded then.

Retards!

Diff amps, and I already know that guitar amps sound fine when having mp3 players run through them.

After info on the quality of the amps, not your opinions on how it would sound in an environment that you have no knowledge of.

Will look into these and see how cheap they are.

Typically they are a lot bigger than these amps.

We cart enough gear around already, so smaller is better.

And in a noisy environment, these amps sound fine when having mp3 players run through them.

This is cheap, but bigger.

Two way speakers.

No bass adjustment, only treble.
