Why did long hair on men go out of style? I liked it... a lot.

I have analyzed the down fall of the American male. It points to the disco era when men started going to beauty salons to have their hair done. The vanity reserved for women slowing eroded the males standing. If you grow long hair don't fuss with it or your manhood will slip away.

Well, it is still in style for Native Americans, right? Unless they are trying to 'integrate' into our society. But it was definately in vogue back in them injun/cowboy times.

Long hair was back in vogue during the 60's and 70's, but now seems only fringe - I haven't seen any large numbers of men with long hair anywhere in the major cities I've been. It is unusual for men to have long hair in today's society (other than certain fringe companies or industries). Not sure if it will become mainstream again. I think we'll see more tats than long hair.

If SHTF, I think long hair would be a liability. Needing to care for/clean it would be harder.
