The Beech Grove Amtrak yard is miles away from where this explosion took place. The likelthood of there being a connection is extremely remote. There are some train tracks nearby, but no station. |

I'm just trying to understand why a gas line break would smell like sulfate, but if you are inside, you can't smell it? Again, thx for the radio updates. if it leaks in the house yes you smell it. if there is a leak out side you will smell it as well. both would be local to the leak Gas, that we purchase from the power companies has an odor added to it. Gas (CO2) as a toxic by product from a furnace or maybe even a generator does not have an odor. /facepalm natural gas is odorless, small amounts of hydrogen sulfide is added to give it the "rotten egg" smell. |
