very doubtful - several posts back there were reports it was felt as far away as Western Illinois - which suggests a shockwave of some sort -

Around 6pm tonight a guy started a thread everyone ignored about a meteor in off the East Coast Atlantic Canada he posted pictues.

Then about 3 hours ago another thread about booming sounds in the sky and somebody went to alot of trouble trying to explain and even put up a video about an airshow at Fairfield and thats what the booming was.

Another guy put up a thread about booming over an area in Russia and that was all within a few hours time.

The guy earlier talking about IT STARTING was referring to Methane explosions and Louisiana and thought there was a connection to all the gas seeping up from under ground and causing everything to go boom. East Coast Unstable.

Read an interview with a woman in the area of the explosion. I thought it was funny that it blew out the windows on the SECOND floor, but not the ground floor ???? It did, however, blow her front door off the frame. I can't find the site I was reading. Sorry - no link.
