while it's not very conspiratorial, I would imagine people are unconscious for the same reason men in the army are unconscious when a grenade goes off near them. Explosions cause unconsciousness. Can't believe I had to actually spell it out though...

Might have been a small rocky asteroid that exploded above the area...far-fetched maybe...but possible.

...and it wouldn't take a very big meteor to do this kind of damage either.

I saw something moving very fast over ocean city maryland , westbound at around 10:20 p.m. saturday night. appeared to me to be a meteor of white flame , no colors.
Just putting it out there for the record.

after NYC was attacked in 2001, small explosions or even power outages increased the number of 911 calls for very real heart problems, breathing problems, or physiological problems brought on by panic. With everything we've been watching on the news and seeing around us - and it has been unprecedented - having an explosion this large in your area could easily kill or shock many people just from shear alarm - remember the body pumps out a shitload of adrenaline for events like this and the body does not always tolerate it well.

well, you have to admit hearing "explosions" and then reports of "unconscious people" ....

However, people could be stunned from something like this and walk for awhile until they fall. We had one guy here recently in a car accident that walked for miles after his head trauma before collapsing.
