EQ? Gas Explosion?? Something Just Shook Houses In Indianapolis!

calm down...this is not a big explosion. I was in Saudi Arabia when the compounds were attacked in 93. My house shook like a freaking leaf. I thought the windows were going to pop out...and I was TEN KILOMETERS from the nearest blast. Those blasts were going off all over Riyadh at the time.

Since I was unarmed there was only one thing to do. Turn off all my lights so make it look like my place was unoccupied and climb into the bath tub which was steel. If an explosion like that was going to go off anywhere nearby my place would be matchsticks.

So blowing up a few houses is actually quite a small explosion.

I used to also work in a steelworks where we would have explosions from various things all the time. No big deal. The largest of these I heard from inside a large office block about 5kms away. The explosion shook windows for more than 10kms and was heard 20 kms away quite clearly. Blew the sides out of one of the plant buildings...and it was only a bit of hot metal falling over water and the water vapourising and blasting the hot metal everywhere....no one was even scratched.

So calm down...when a decent explosion happens from one of these methane pockets or whatever the hell is coming up from all the fracking it will take out whole suburbs and you will hear it for at LEAST 100kms....its going to be BIG and messy. Sure glad I don't live on top of where people have been FRACKING!

Oh yea, like there is enough natural gas in the outside air to make you fall unconscious? Or are these houses filling up with gas? At which point, aren't they kind of bombs? I've blown up small glass jars with natural gas, I'm fully aware of what will happen once its densely occupied an area... I'm using a closed circuit solvent recycler now instead of exposing myself to it now that I've gotten a little smarter about it, and even then with my experience with it I'd still think it would take an incredibly dense cloud to knock you out before you realized whats happening, or at the very least smelled it... And to happen blocks away from the actual explosion, or the "densest" cloud of glass? Dumbass

It is strange. Could it be that multiple posters have reported on the same one or two unconscious people making it seem like there are many? Just a guess. I've seen that happen before on another message board when several posters were listening to the scanner and posting what they heard.

Back on topic...I have seen homes that have been destroyed from meth labs etc,so this was also not the case.The lack of any burn areas on the trees also has me concerned...a localized target,sort of speak could cause this.As we know so many chem aka wmd can have various physical effects and in a vast area.Depending on wind shifts etc.

No...the information is coming from the scanner. People only post what we are hearing on the scanner from fire and rescue in the county.

Probably something very simple: phones often check the "time" when it is using the internet, and fixes its clock. Often internal clocks are a little fast, so it needs to do the reset. This is probably what happened.
