TMJ can be greatly relieved if you change your diet - do NOT eat anything starchy or sugary after 5pm - this saps the minerals from the muscles that allow them to relax. Take some magnesium glycinate (you have to look either at Vitacost.com or at the health foods store) and some Calcium (Like Viactiv chews, etc.) before bed, to help relax the muscles. This should give you some relief, and also refrain from chewing gum, and get some good exercise during the daylight hours to help reduce stress and teeth grinding. I know, because I once had a very bad case of it and I now have recovered and don't get it any more unless I go back to bad habits or lack of minerals, etc. Geo777 |
