Well I can tell ya what I did to my husband. Married 15 yrs and he decided one day he didnt like me on the phone talking to my cousin Autumn, he jerked the phone out of my hand, threw it across the yard and pushed me down by my face. He is 6'3. I am 5'3. So he went in the house to take a shit. I kicked a hole thru the bathroom door and kicked it open and commensed to beating the living crap out if him while on the shitter! I beat his head off the wall about 15 times. He was so shocked that I caught him off guard while he was taking a poo and beat his ass for him that it shocked him to death!!!
He hasn't touched me since!! He knows I will beat him to death with a ball bat in his sleep!! So sister... kick his ass for him one good time and he will stop it. If he doesn't.... stay and be a punching bag if you dont want to work and be independent.

When he goes to work, assuming he does work, leave and get to a woman's shelter. They will help you plan from there on out. Help you get a job, restraining order, whatever you need most.

I can't imagine not knowing what to do. My problem if I were in your situation would be trying to decide whether to beat him up while he is sleeping, or make a report to the police, or just walk away and never come back. So many options, the hardest part would be trying to restrain myself from beating him to death while he is asleep.

This. Call the national domestic violence hotline while he is at work and get to a shelter. Police will transport you if needed. Do not tell anyone. Abuse gets worse when you try to leave...so know this will be the most dangerous time for you. pack some clothes, take important papers, and anything of sedimental value to you. Most abusers will trash what you have left behind in an effort to punish you. Also, cancel credit cards and withdrawal what you have out of bank before he knows you are gone. Domestic violence shelters can help you relocate if you have family or friends in another state. They can 'hide' you. Even through divorce, even to change your name, etc. He will not change, he will only get worse over time. So I pray you have the strength to ignore his threats (which may very well be real) in order to save yourself. Love should never hurt. Choose to love yourself more and leave all your material things behind.
