UK Special Ops Training Assad Assassination Squads The first stage of the plan involves a no-fly zone that will be patrolled by British, US and French forces. Safe havens will be set up in Syria, Turkey and Jordan. A Whitehall aide said: “Cameron and Obama cannot allow Assad to bomb civilians.“We can’t go in and do it but we can get someone there to have a go. “A lot of the Free Syrian Army are ex-soldiers, they know how to shoot but need more training from our Special Forces, especially in key signals and communications equipment.” [link to www.blacklistednews.com] |

I guarantee, if Assad is removed, war with Israel will follow soon after. I don't think so, he's up there with the others laying low, vying with those who you've traded your life to to bless your soul, |

UK Special Ops Training Assad Assassination Squads How do we enforce a no fly zone around parts of the med without an aircraft carrier? Oh thats right we use cyprus and probably turkey, but did anybody ask the cypriots who may now end up targets of assad if they mind? Its all fun and games till a syrian missle hits cyprus and kills british citizens, which isnt out of the realms of possibility if we do this. |

UK Special Ops Training Assad Assassination Squads If the SAS/SBS has to be on the ground in syria to destory scud launchers and aircraft it just makes their job harder with all the mulitary cuts we have. I have nothing but sympathy and admiration for those guys doing such a job in difficult circumstances and loathing for our administration putting them in that position. Its not out of the possibility that if Assad is going down he could fire scuds with chemical weapons at israel and turkey and cyprus and he could try to hit them with aircraft even. We cant cut the military like we are doing and then still think we can help police the world, its dangerous and will get people killed because they are underfunded and under equipped. This is a dangerous idea, we better hope the US and French and other NATO states are with us on this because it could get messy. |

Quoting: Anonymous Coward 27490842 I think if the UK makes this military commitment and we dont do a proper job of it, it could potentially put british lives at risk on cyprus. Cyrpus is about 300 miles from syria and has two large british bases still on it. We have upwards of 10-15 thousand british people on that island and its just a stonethrow away from syria. Blowback is a huge issue here. I dont know how many people on the UK mainland realize just how potentially dangerous this is. What an earth do we do if assad fires a scud with mustard gas or sarin etc at one of the british bases on cyprus? Its not like we can send a carrier and our harriers/tornados to the med and fuck his shit up because we dont have a carrier or harriers anymore. What would we do threaten him with trident or fire a few tomahawks at him from one of our subs. This shit could get fucking ugly. |

UK Special Ops Training Assad Assassination Squads UK Prime Minister Cameron is preparing to use the RAF to enforce no-fly zones across Syria in a bid to stop mass slaughter. Quoting: DoorBert According to Whitehall sources, British special forces are helping to train rebel assassination squads to target President Assad and his warlords. Troops from the SAS, SBS and Paras from the Special Reconnaisance Regiment are in Syria helping show insurgents how to use new weapons and explosives. [link to www.phantomreport.com] "So you have enemies and you want to defeat them? Fine! But don't use slander, or tricks, or violence, or the power of money or anything similar. Enemies are never really defeated by such weapons, and they will always hold it against you, so you will have yet more trouble with them, if not in this incarnation then in the next. Even supposing you have succeeded in exterminating your enemy: it is only their physical body you have made disappear. In reality, a being can never be annihilated: their soul is immortal, and they will still hate you and want revenge from the other side. So, the war goes on; it never ends. Everyone is mistaken - whole countries are mistaken - in believing they can wipe out their enemies with weapons, espionage or political intrigue. One country can always succeed in neutralizing another for a while, but sooner or later the other will take its revenge. So, other methods have to be found." |

How about the mass slaughter of civilians in Iraq? Oh no the allies only cause "colateral damage". FFS what a load of bs. These pricks must think people are as dumb as fence posts. |

UK Special Ops Training Assad Assassination Squads While they want British troops going into Syria ? They are buying themselves out in droves after 2 tours in Afghanistan, sorry Cameron you kiddy fiddling little nerd, grab a gun and do it ya fubbing self. (EATON MESS) UK hasn't got a decent Army anymore and they want to play with Russia ? Yes I said Russia as the treaty was signed , that any intervention outside of the UN convention will be treated like an Act of violation as per international Law. UK would be at war with Russia and China. Good Luck with that UK! |

Indeed, what happens if we commit to this, but then russia tells us, shit sorry we gave assad some modern anti aircraft systems a few years back and we lose dozens of jets doing this. Compounded with local risk to british lives this is dangerous. I could understand the response if Syria struck british interests first, but trying to police this situation has the potential to get pretty damned serious. I know thats what the british military are for, but im not convinced this is a good idea, maybe necessary but not good. We have some harsh military cutting going on at the moment. I'm convinced we have to be careful here. |

On a scale of how potentially retarded this is though its about a 6.5 out of 10. Never mind Libya, this could end up more like Kosovo but with british citizens and soldiers a mere 300 miles away under fire and isreal on the receiving end of a nasty attack... so talk about a powderkeg... i think this is one. |
