Yep, they have actively worked to kill federalism so they could implement central control from DC. This centralization will be the US governments downfall since the US is too big to force all these different regions with different ideas under the same set of laws.

Also, we are moving from economic coercion to physical coercion which will create further unrest. They have to move from economic to physical because the economy is going belly up.

Once the economy is belly up states will secede and more reasonably, geographic governments will form that better represent the people of each individual area.
