This year, one third of my check has gone for Federal Income Tax, State Tax, Medicare, Social Security, and Health Insurance coverage at work.

Yup. Here is what you and everyone else need to understand. You have a choice. If you want to live in a modern industrialized society, the dues are about 30-40% of your wages. It is the same all over the world.

Don't like paying that much for fire, police, roads and national defense? Leave for a third world entity. You will have to provide all utilities and infrastructure yourself. You will have almost little or no opportunity to earn a fraction of what you do now.

Like it or not, that is the world we live in for being born at this point.
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 26820407

Fire and police are paid with LOCAL taxes. We pay state and property taxes for those. That is over and above all this federal income tax for which those of us trying to earn a living are forced to pay and see little in return.

I'm opting out going for disability as I can't make it another 4 years under this economy as my job consists of strictly luxury items and those are things this economy can no longer afford.
One of the most important aspects of conspiracy theories is being able to discern when there isn't one.

Oh yeah, like you'd understand anyway.

Where are we going and why am I in this handbasket?. . .J. Handy

Its called REVENGE.

Obama spoke the words himself.

REVENGE is what the current administration wants. REVENGE against the working class.

He plans to take the money away from those working and give it to the democrat voting class non working welfare recipents.

You have 2 options.
1. Become a leach and get on the government check.
2. Buy a big jar of vaseline so that is doesn't hurt as much.

Good luck with the change that was voted in by the welfare class.

Obama is a psychopath and thinks he is "righting the injustices of colonization" and so forth. This is why he hates Europeans and even Americans and is so pro-Islam.

We have one sick puppy running the country now and he is giving mega bucks to al Qaeda and Muslim Brotherhood who have vowed to kill us all.

Apparently he has now been able to buy enough votes with our tax dollars to get himself another 4 years with his hand in the till.

They had to take my taxes from me before I could touch it or they wouldn't have gotten it from me, but I willingly gave money to tv evangelists all through the 80's and 90's. Sure wish I could have some of that back now that I'm virtually destitute.

I have paid that in ten years. But the otherside of the coin is I work in government contracting. This year I will probably have to pay 75k in taxes.

The real sad one is when I was involved in a corporation . The corporation never paid taxes we always lost money.

You are getting close, but not there yet. Technically, you do go to a 3rd world country every day by means of you tax dollars.

The american tax code is fundamentally based on war rationing. Just like Christianity is fundamentally based on the teachings of Christ. specifically: "do unto others ..."

Religions add dogma to implement the core principle. However any good religion that gets out in the weeds can always revert and rebuild on the core principle. For example, the Vatican has recently said" discovery of life on other planets does not invalidate the core tenants of Christianity." (pun intended ... being us)

The reason there can not be tax reform in american is because the fundamental principle of the taxation model is war rationing. there is no ethical, relevant, solid basis for the dogma, so we just have keep tweaking it to the disater of the economy we are in now.

"Like it or not, that is the world we live in for being born at this point."

It it our god given mission to use the life we have to fight evil with words. not violence.

Anyone who wants to make me feel guilty about getting food stamps now when I am working two part time jobs, go ahead, it's my own money that they make me grovel to get back, believe me I'm over it.

Re: To date I have paid nearly $189,000.00 in income tax.
That is over a 35 year period....
My response to people who want to know the solution is (my opinion only)...
When were you at your last city hall or town meeting? It really starts at the ground floor.
Where I live is very small town...I hate going to these meetings...but either I am part of the problem or part of the solution.
It is frustrating when leaders become large fish in small ponds. Ego gets in the way...so I stay clear...and they are left to make all the decisions and vote into law what "they " choose.
There needs to be better checks and balances. There are many that suck off the system and it is NOT just the poor. Corruption runs deep and in every aspect of our community.
Disclosure in every branch of government should be expected by the American people...but it is easier to walk away and toss out the old phase "Well what can you do about it?" It's starts with pointing the finger at ones self to start change.

Leadership would be another great place to start....but sadly they are more interested in looking at how to stay in office than serving the people.

Great thread OP...should have some interesting thoughts and remarks.
 Quoting: TAX RELIEF 27514608

We shold move forward with the global taxation method; remove the fear paradigm and make it an automatic taxation. ,,a global taxation system would be more proportionate to addressing income and wealth as a whole on a global scale; all as the balance of wealth is in the metamorphosis of change, globally. For example, this should be agreeable for Americans because Americans are getting POORER.

Conversely, formerly poor nations are getting RICHER and they pay nothing; some immigrants make millions and they dont even file..

I wonder how many people will not file this year. People are just not going for it. Thy are dropping out of the system and are bartering, working off the books, going out on disability, lying on their taxes or just plain not filing. I would love to see an honest graph of participation in our income tax scam.

Re: To date I have paid nearly $189,000.00 in income tax.
Holy Moly.

I was going through a box of records yesterday and for fun (yeah, right!) added the amounts I've paid since my first taxable job in 1975 at the age of 15.

The scary thing is that this isn't including such things as property taxes from when I owned homes, sales taxes, taxes on my former small business, or charitable deductions.

The total must surely be near a half a million dollars.

And this country STILL is in debt?!

People, I am 52 years old. I have nothing left to give to this country.

But I know you're all younger than me.

You must do something NOW to save yourselves.

I have no idea what that might be but hopefully this thread will start a discussion.

Jimminy. This truth was one tough pill to swallow.

join a small off the grid commune

you dont have to be superwoman just be able to do some tings to contribute

im looking for people to do this and im willing to purchase in full some acres of wooded fertile land to get started

I can also get the initial things needed to get started

only problem is everyone wants luxury and no one wants to do this from scratch

They would rather others do all the work when in reality it is not difficult at all

a little gardening and feeding the animals and it all comes back to you

its not a life of comfort but it is fulfilling and i just need a few people interested in simple lifestyle
