Don't like paying that much for fire, police, roads and national defense? Leave for a third world entity. You will have to provide all utilities and infrastructure yourself. You will have almost little or no opportunity to earn a fraction of what you do now.

Obama is a psychopath and thinks he is "righting the injustices of colonization" and so forth. This is why he hates Europeans and even Americans and is so pro-Islam.

We have one sick puppy running the country now and he is giving mega bucks to al Qaeda and Muslim Brotherhood who have vowed to kill us all.

Apparently he has now been able to buy enough votes with our tax dollars to get himself another 4 years with his hand in the till.

My response to people who want to know the solution is (my opinion only)...
When were you at your last city hall or town meeting? It really starts at the ground floor.
Where I live is very small town...I hate going to these meetings...but either I am part of the problem or part of the solution.
It is frustrating when leaders become large fish in small ponds. Ego gets in the way...so I stay clear...and they are left to make all the decisions and vote into law what "they " choose.
There needs to be better checks and balances. There are many that suck off the system and it is NOT just the poor. Corruption runs deep and in every aspect of our community.
Disclosure in every branch of government should be expected by the American people...but it is easier to walk away and toss out the old phase "Well what can you do about it?" It's starts with pointing the finger at ones self to start change.

Leadership would be another great place to start....but sadly they are more interested in looking at how to stay in office than serving the people.

I wonder how many people will not file this year. People are just not going for it. Thy are dropping out of the system and are bartering, working off the books, going out on disability, lying on their taxes or just plain not filing. I would love to see an honest graph of participation in our income tax scam.

I was going through a box of records yesterday and for fun (yeah, right!) added the amounts I've paid since my first taxable job in 1975 at the age of 15.

The scary thing is that this isn't including such things as property taxes from when I owned homes, sales taxes, taxes on my former small business, or charitable deductions.

The total must surely be near a half a million dollars.

And this country STILL is in debt?!

People, I am 52 years old. I have nothing left to give to this country.

ive gone the not paying route. it actually ended really well- having around 28k "forgiven"..lol

fact was, i wasnt paying. and i had lowered my standard of living to the point that they had nothing to take.

Fire and police are paid with LOCAL taxes. We pay state and property taxes for those. That is over and above all this federal income tax for which those of us trying to earn a living are forced to pay and see little in return.

I'm opting out going for disability as I can't make it another 4 years under this economy as my job consists of strictly luxury items and those are things this economy can no longer afford.

Yup I'm her age and I wrote my own paycheck for many years and I sent payroll tax checks to the federal government every month when I didn't have money to buy shoes, get a haircut or buy food.

Anyone who wants to make me feel guilty about getting food stamps now when I am working two part time jobs, go ahead, it's my own money that they make me grovel to get back, believe me I'm over it.

It's not necessarily by choice.

We can't afford food.

Let alone, taxes.

My point is that the parasites steal so much that people are opting out, refusing to support the beast.

This year, one third of my check has gone for Federal Income Tax, State Tax, Medicare, Social Security, and Health Insurance coverage at work.

My Gross is a little under 60K.
