that is true, but getting the attention of gov't and news is what the people must do right? I didn't start this, but surely we all need to poke them in some way with all that's coming our way? As for federal funding..i'm sure the people in all the states could very well decide how to spend their money better then the Feds...

Just to make it clear, I don't support secession- only to grab the attention any way possible to the plight of the American people, any way possible!

Most all of these are knee-jerk reactions that have not been thought out.

Until a proposed governmental structure (laws), revised Constitution (laws), and proposed means to address fiscal responsibilities and liabilities (laws) that would outline the state's continued operation separate from the US Federal Government and the protections defined by means of the US Constitution (as these states would surely now be at-odds with the US) - you have no idea what you're actually promoting.

This is akin to loading the family in the car for vacation, though no preparation, no packing of clothes/ food/ supplies, no determined destination, and not even a determination of direction of travel has been made. You are then traveling an unknown path, headed for unknown interactions that may well likely include many unforeseen troubles and calamities - and your family is now an integral part of this very dynamic equation. Just because there is fuel in the car doesn't mean you're prepared for the trip.

Many states are similar to my own (Colorado), in that the majority of the state is populated by working, keep-to-yourself, small government supporters. However, it is the few larger cities within said states (Denver and Boulder for example in Colorado) that overwhelm the representation of the state to be considered as a liberal one.

Of course, a majority of the citizenry are interested in returning to the "freedoms" we enjoyed in the recent past. The dangers are that, until specific language is recorded to determine the path, direction, and ultimate destination - you may well be trading off for another government that has even greater desire to influence and control your life.
