It is extremely important to remember not to let this turn into a witch hunt. Already there are countless signs of that happening. Already several people claiming to have been abused have been shown to be attention/money seeking liars, and already innocent people have been wrongly accused.

Remember what happened in eastern Europe, especially East Germany, under the police states they had. Remember what happened in Stalin's USSR. Remember what happens in Iran today. People with grudges to bear, or who sense they can gain power or money, invent stories about even their neighbours and friends.

Remember that, as this forum proves, it only takes a rumour these days to slur someone's name and ruin their lives. Also remember that every time some moron lies to try and gain for themselves they muddy the waters and make it more difficult to get justice for those who truly do deserve it.

We should investigate things and bring the guilty to justice but people need to act calm and rationally.
