He was a warmonger. He engineered the black ops attack on Benghazi. He was trying to goad the US into another war. He got caught.

resigned suddenly because of his affair being outed by the FBI and then it turns out you don't have to testify if you resign. huh , that is convenient.

what if he is subpoenaed? What then? Plead the fifth? This guy is so over, Ollie North all over again.

stakes are high and obviously he thinks he can get out of this by confessing to an affair? An affair that was already happening when he took office as head of CIA. So he didn't do this recently and then feel bad and have to resign. He suddenly decided he had to resign and needed an excuse.

Plus everyone is hip to this business of using an affair to cover up something else, it has become a joke, like when Bush was always cutting brush at the ranch or some ridiculous thing. People are more savvy than they were 20 years ago I think.
