Quoting: AlbatrossDetroit What kind of sound are you looking for? I could probably put together a few samples for you for free. What science cannot declare, art can suggest; what art suggests silently, poetry speaks aloud; but what poetry fails to explain in words, music can express. - Hazrat Inayat Khan |

Me and my good friend started a small acoustic project for fun that we have named Albatross. We are based out of Detroit Mi, and completed our first home-made recording last night. The music is dark, stingy, and grey like our city, and we use our surroundings and day to day events around us to draw inspiration and write music we enjoy. Beyond that the sound we have stumbled upon has been described as Alice in Chains meets Corrosion of Conformity, meets Johnny Cash. This is called "The Blackbird Song", and i just figured id drop by my favorite place and share. All criticism is welcome! (and expected ) Thanks guys and Gals Pretty good guys. A little Alice in Chains influence perhaps? Keep at it! |

You got any plans to beef it up with a rhythm section? I'd love to hear more. I WISH! All our bandmates from back in the day are too busy, and we lack the space to get together anymore. We will see where it goes tho. Will probably keep it mellow due to lack of resources. Glad you like it! AlbatrossDetroit |

Quoting: Shoot straight Johnny Much better than most of that 'pop' crap that assaults our ears through the radio, which 'celebs' get paid millions for. It was very nice. And I think you've got great potential. Wow, thanks you so much. To be honest, most of that pop crap out there, that is pre-written (barely written) and distributed through the mouths of these so called "stars" is about 80% of a lot of what drives us to attempt to make realistic music, and or rock and roll. I really appreciate your comment. AlbatrossDetroit |
