Sorry. Just felt like venting because it is getting harder to deal with everyday and wondered if anyone else felt the pressures.

We've become a society of intolerance, impatience, and disregard.

I was in a store today in line, I heard an employee saying, "we need a wheelchair, there isn't one at the front of the store and this man needs a chair". The employee seemed tiffed that she had to go locate a wheelchair. There was a bench seat, around this wall I could see, and I turned to see who needed help. Young man with a severely disabled brother or friend with him. I got out of line, walked up to the men, to let the man know there was a bench close by and asked if he needed help to sit his brother or friend down.

My point? Everyone stared at me, walking out of line, to go offer help to the two men. No one offered help. They stare, but they can't get out of their place in line, to help a vulnerable adult. This is our society, a bunch of people who will stand around and not help fellow man.

I dislike the majority of our society. However, I won't stop offering help, when someone is vulnerable and in need, clearly, of help.

Okay, I'm done venting now too, OP lol.

Many of us out there are kind hearted...just a selfish society and world we live in now, sadly.

That was very noble of you. We need more of "you" in this world. Sad times we live in.

Glad to know I am not alone.

Most people are selfish. The rest of us watch and help. It will be interesting.

Completely agree, OP! Since the election, the level of nastiness I've seen around me has skyrocketed. A truly mean spirit is permeating our country and most definitely on this board.

It's global, not just in the US.
