Yeah, the maxmount support is frankly abysmal considering the cost of the thing. I'm looking forward to seeing the new software with voice chat incorporated. That's really exciting, it should make for some awesome online star parties and shows. I got a surprise in store too...if my experimentation solves out and it works as I believe it will... It'll be one more thing that didn't exist, but should have...and now will at the Observatory.... Yeah Trin had been hinting you had something you were working on. Even I don't know what it is but I'm anxious to find out. ![]() |

Prove me wrong. Just wait until it is back online like they said it would. That is all. I won't hold my breath. Worked on many technical projects for a major corporations, and what I learned is that when a project goes wrong and is delayed, its not really because the workers on the project are mistaken or misjudged timelines, but the FUNDAMENTAL and basic assumptions they were making was wrong. This happens everytime. I doubt this project will turn out any different. You'll be holding your breath until your blue in the face. Ok, clearly you haven't worked on major observatory projects before. Again, look at itelescope's Siding Spring. These are guys who have done this three times already at three other sites all over the world. This observatory was supposed to be online and fully operational by this past summer. This is their entire business and yet this new observatory STILL isn't even finished being built yet - it was supposed to be a simple moving operation from one site to a new site. Trinity and company are building the software from the ground up, it's an even greater undertaking and they're still kicking ass. ![]() |

They'll keep telling you its some technical problem forever and ever. But what they don't realize is that nothing is wrong with their telescope, something is wrong with the sky, i.e., its a hologram. Sigh. ![]() Yeah, I'm calling out Trinity and Astromut. Prove me wrong. Prove me wrong. Actually I was already thinking I might do a new astronomy webcast next weekend. Not to prove you wrong, just because I enjoy sharing the sky. If you come into the webcast's thread and accuse me of being a "shill" and covering up the "holographic sky" or some bullshit I'll just ban you from the thread because I'm done allowing people to disrupt my threads like that. Ok? ![]() |
