SKYFALL was not that good!

Going to check it out tomorrow. How would you rate it against Casino Royale?

better be a POKER scene, or its not BOND

I liked it. No poker scene, only craps.

It was good in the beginning but then it just got boring and cliche

bond is shit, period. same old espionage crap.

Surprising, it has a 93% approval rating on rottentomatoes. Has anyone seen Lincoln?

Nevermind, Lincoln is not out yet, opens on Friday.

Only bond I like is Goldeneye. It was the first one I saw.

The critics actually got something right. Skyfall is a great film but I would say it's on par with Casino Royale as that film was a masterpiece.

HOWEVER, maybe it was just me, but the film has a very strange aura to it. It feels strange when watching it and nearly makes you uneasy.

Just me, or anyone else?

Not as good as Royale but better than Quantum

At 2.5 hours it was too long, plenty of places where the movie drags.. the script/screenplay was ok but not great. That being said, there are some good action scenes and twists and turns in the plot, it's innovative and has a distinctly different flavor than its predecessors.. overall though not as good as Casino Royale IMO. For a series that has gone on for 50 years, one has to wonder if there's any gas left in the tank for future installments but they're definitely making more

I thought I was the only person who didn't really enjoy it.

DC doesn't have that movie persona that the old bond actors (except dalton) gave. He should stick to his 80s British gangster in Spain films.

I do love the bond books but books into films need to be done right. I think only lotr & harry p came close to being brilliant towards the end (but didn't quite) where bond just can't be made to be like he is.

Casino Royal is the only decent new age bond film.

The only complaint I have is there were not enough sex scenes with women. Only 1 shower scene and no other nudity. Just doesn't feel like a Bond movie without the semi-nude women.

The bad guy had some good bad guy stuff, but over all 007 sucked. Maybe if they had killed M while she was at court, that might have saved the movie.
