I don't condone war, but to burn a poppy and not show respect to the millions that were sacrificied during WWII is horrendous. "What happened to the legendary Chris Redfield, huh? What happened to you!?" |

Quoting: Anonymous Coward 1579244 The arrest was made under section 127 of the Communications Act, which states that someone can be guilty of an offence if they "send by means of a public electronic communications network a message or other matter that is grossly offensive or of an indecent, obscene or menacing character". The law has come under fire in the past because it is too difficult to define what is "grossly offensive", rather than merely offensive. VIRTUALBLOGNEWS [link to virtualblognews.altervista.org] |

Russian and Eastern European societies are much more corrupt etc. Still, somethin like that could hardly happen here. Lawlessness can have its good sides, when it comes to the former Comunists block. (dark humor, i know) Noah was a conspiracy theorist too, until it started raining. |

And it's not "just burning a poppy" either. He was probably a muslim. And for those banging on about civil liberties, try looking up what free speech actually means. People also have the right no to be offended by some disrespectful jerk pulling a stunt like this. |

Bring it up in polite conversation, and if you get someone who approves - deal with him. If you're in the UK and find that sharp objects have been restricted, thats OK, anything hard and blunt will do. Lets see them ban objects that can be used as clubs. |

The burning poppy would have upset most of the older population, those in the military now and their families. Also any younger generation who cares about the past and those lives in danger now abroad. |
