Bend down, pick up 6 in each hand and lift them over your head and hang each one in a shackle. Eight hours per day, 5-6 days per week. Tyson Foods and Pilgrim are big chicken processors. Every day they make about $100 usd. |

Shearing a sheep requires a person to work in temperatures varying between -10*C to 60*C (inside some sheds). As well as dragging sheep weighing between 50-150kgs (ave 70-80kgs). Also working long distances away from home for months on end (as when Aussies/Kiwis come to Germany/UK to shear). Just some examples. oh heaven forbid they work in both hot and cold temps. I do everything you just described, except shearing shep and I do it getting paid like 70 bucks a day....I have no sympathy if the money they make is what an above poster said.....none at allll... |

Surely shearing is a tough job. Toughest, most physically demanding job I ever worked was unloading 50 kilo burlap sacks of coffee beans from semi-truck trailers. I didn't bring gloves on the first day. My knuckles were bleeding by 10AM. Sorry if you got some of those blood stained beans. . . . --- We all breathe the same air |

And even in NZ finger tips can bleed as the sand erodes them. |
