the REASON they have to check in to use the potty is because they don't want people shooting up drugs in there, or rapes or whatever...when you have that many unknown factor people jammed together, it is actually SMART to monitor them because SOME PEOPLE cannot be trusted.

Remember the havoc at the super dome after Katrina? They learned from that and are providing security for people but that is now a problem too,for tards.

You know, this sort of thing only takes place in major cities. Country folks take care of their own. City folks ARE sheep, easily herded into a camp like this one.

There must also be tight security to protect the general public from GLP posters that might be in the camp!

I agree after the atrocities of Katrina,hopefully they have learned , I have worked at a homeless shelter,there has to be security,there are bad people,for God 's sake we live in a sick society,greed, perversion ...wake up people, you have to be able to take care of yourself and your loved ones,get ready things are going to get worse,don't rely on the government. Prepare yourselves..

That´s right, maybe for their own security, they should put cameras everywhere, inside the toilettes also, RFID everybody, and put electric collars to people that can be remotely activated, so if someone intends to harm you, the security wards can give the malcreant an electric shock.

Not all, but a good amount seaside heights residents in the winter have criminal records. Again NOT ALL! Check the sec offender website to see how many registered sex offenders were living there. So a repeat of rape and crime is very possible. Check for yourself.

My work place has access cards that need to be used at EVERY door.. including the bathrooms!

It's done to ensure no undesirables get in and hurt those working in the building.
Are you telling me that none of you GLP'rs have worked in a secure building? That is why they call it a "secure site".

I agree with a previous poster who mentioned that if something went wrong..ie: rape, molestation, etc. that there would be and outcry about the "lack" of security.
You cannot have secure, without security measures!

If people can get in and out at will.. why doesn't someone just go to the nearest SallyAnne and get a game? It would probably be given to them for FREE if asked for! A deck of cards is not a difficult thing to get and board games line the shelves of second hand stores.. for 25 or 50 cents.

These people are in a secure site for their protection.. Its time people that are in these sites, tried to help make life a litte better for themselves and others by offering to do something. Help clean, pool resources, figure out what "can" be done and "do" it!

I'm not trying to be insensitive, but what does everyone really expect a FEMA camp post-disaster to be? A stay at the Hilton? Fresh linens and a down comforter?

Guards patroling and keeping an eye for people who have an absolute nervous breakdown? (think NO meds for A LOT of ppl) obviously

Obsiously its going to be rough, but does no one remember them BEGGING everyone to leave and get out of the entire area? (GLP was making fun of the NOAA plea "think of your family and the responders who will have to come save your asses")

What would you have done with so many displaced?
