I am an American. And, I served in the military. I wasn't a hero then and our soldiers now ARE NOT HEROES. They are simply going to "work" every day and getting paid to do their "job". That is it. Soldiers are doing NOTHING to "protect our freedoms" here in the USA. It's all bullshit.  Hell yea! I am in the military and I agree. I was young and unawake when I joined. Unfortunately , I am getting deployed to Afghanistan. To defend what? Nothing. I am getting out in 2015. That's when my contract is up. My brother deployed last year and regretted it. He said they were told to not question authority or the higher ups will be mad. He said they were getting paid to get blowned up. I agree. The military is not defending anything. Only thing we do that is useful is help people who homes have been destroyed by hurricanes and disasters. I live in Louisiana. Sounds like you've got your head screwed on right. That's right, just do your time and get the hell out. You are doing your JOB just like the rest of us working Americans. I hope you get home safe I really do. Just to be clear, folks: I AM NOT KNOCKING military service! Not at all. I am just saying military service is just a job and SOLDIERS ARE NOT HEROES just because they volunteered to do their JOB.
