Re: I Need Your Help GLP!!! For A Massive Financial Story I'm Working On!!!
Okay guys, I'm calling up old banker friends and contacts today, even some old contacts at the Dallas Federal Reserve to get to the bottom of this, but I warn you, if my suspisions are correct, this could be huge...One of the biggest financial stories of the year!!!

What I need is for everyone who reads this to check the Cash in your Wallet or where ever, and see if you have any money there that has a series date after 2009???

None of the Banks have extra cash on hand, they are virtually running hand to mouth. Old bills that should have been retired because of wear and tear are staying in the system. When you can get cash at your bank, it's all old bills. And I know they printed a huge run in 2011, but I can't find where it has been made available to the banks for distribution. We're talking about Hundreds of Billions in cash being held out of our financial system right now...

And the question is...Why???

Help Me Out GLP, Take a quick look at your bills and let me know what you find. The printing run date is near the bottom on the front of the bills...

drevil

UPDATE: After speaking with a friend of mine at the Dallas Fed I found out a few things. The Series 2009 is still being printed, even though they were slated to make Series Adjustments in 2011. These adjustments were canceled in favor of some new 3D Tech coming out on the new $100 dollar bills slated to be Series 2012 or 2013.

All of this said, there is still a severe shortage of cash available to banks, ATM's, and Business'. This despite increased printing in 2011 and extreme increases already this year, 2012. So, WHERE IS ALL THIS CASH THEY ARE PRINTING GOING? Because it's sure not making it to circulation in the U.S.A.

Also, why are they keeping our U.S. banks short on cash???

Please advise on any experiences you have where you had trouble withdrawing cash from your bank!!!

Isn't this an old story? Since 2008, maybe earlier, the banks have been acting weird... I went to a bank around this time in NYC and took out a few thousand dollars and they looked really squirrelly at me and the manager actually came over and asked me if everything was ok.

they looked nervous..very, very, dreadfully nervous... :)

i'm as paranoid as the next guy and i can certainly see the debit card and CC transactions being used to track peoples behavior but that's a lot of people to track. i just have a hard time believing they actually care what we buy. there are millions of people buying prepper supplies and guns and ammo everyday. way to hard to do anything with that.

i see the lack of physical "cash" being more a planned chaos or crisis. if there was ever a bank run, the sheeple would be screwed. sure, "he's $300 in cash, your maximum withdraw for the week, NEXT!"......

never let a good crisis go to waste, right?

i see a crisis shutting down the country and "they" will just fall back and protect infrastructure and let the peeps of america fight it out. when the dust settles, they round up the victors into "logan's run" cities.

Well actually I agree in a way, this story is old and new. There was a lot of anecdotal evidence that SOME banks (particularly the big multi-national banks) were having liquidity problems in 2008 and forward, and that these liquidity problems were effecting the amount of cash they were keeping on hand for withdrawals.

However, I've noticed this tightening of currency circulation beginning this summer is becoming systemic, in other words it's even affecting community and regional banks that have adequate liquidity. The Fed is simply not giving them cash!!!

So I agree and disagree with your statement, but yes I knew some people were having problems withdrawing cash from their banks for years now.

Here's another interesting factiod, have you noticed, if you use a Withdrawal Slip to withdraw cash directly from your account they have an area where you are supposed to explain WHY you are withdrawing the cash???

What fuckin' business is it of theirs why I'm getting MY MONEY???

I always just put "Cash" in that explanation field...

All bills in my wallet are 2004 or 2006. FYI.

I did take out $10,000 from my bank branch awhile ago and they told me I was supposed to let them know in advance that I wanted that much money so they could request it from the Federal Reserve. I said, "Fuck the Federal Reserve." They gave me my money.

The new money with the blue band from my understanding has tracking capabilities so I am sure they are trying to get the other as much out of circulation as possible. I saw a video the other day saying "new" bill were sent to foreign countries for the illusion the dollar is "solid" and the old crinkled bills were in the us.

Since the push is to is to move to a cashlass society for tracking purposes, the best thing we can do is to use cash...Supply and demand instead of credit cards/debit cards. It is a matter of control for the tptb and I choose not to give it to them. I almost always use cash now for that reason...I prefer freedom.

They are betting the average american is to stupid to realize that and that they will believe credit/debit cards were created for our convenience...HA! Or those "points" they "give" people to use their credit cards. They are willing to give a little for complete control to know where you spend every penny of our money and to get taxes on all money and accountablity of every cent that they can't have with cash.

I was told by a bank several years ago when the push started to remove cash from society, the reason the bank gives you a hard time about cash is because they have to pay a company like Brinks to deliver a cash withdrawal since they keep very limited amounts. They have to order it and it takes several days to get a sizeable withdrawal.

What are your thoughts???

In 1929, didn't a lack of liquidity bring a great depression on us?

I am no economic expert but with an artificial constriction of the money supply and a slow down in the velocity of money at the same time,I have to think they are engineering a recession at the very least.

Well I know this, the bank I used to work for always kept more than adequate cash at all of its branches. Now they keep the minimum they can get away with. And this policy comes directly from the Fed, not the banks.

The banks I'm talking about have adequate liquidity, they are top rated banks, they have far more than enough money in their accounts at the Fed, yet the Fed is restricting their cash withdrawals just like they are restricting ours...

Actually lack of liquidity caused a credit crisis in 1929, then carried on throughout the 1930's...could be happening again today, though so much of our money is now electronic it's hard to tell.

The Fed is paying 40 Billion per month to the big multi-national banks to purchase Mortgage Backed Securities in an effort (supposedly) to stimulate the mortgage markets (housing), but this effort is having little to no impact, and seemingly, no matter how much they print (again, electronically) they can't seem to keep inflation up enough to keep advancing the economy. After all, fiat money lives on inflation, without it, everything comes crashing down in a big pile!

I will say this, judging from the economic outlook, I don't think the Fed can keep this papered over for much longer...how long "much longer" is, is the only point of debate...

4 $20 bills - 2 $5 bills 2 $1 bills marked 2006
1 $1 bill marked 1999
1 $20 bill marked 2004 A

The rest of my cash is all marked 2009.

Let me add that I find it kinda creepy to state on a public forum how much cash I have in my pocket.

I tried to take four grand out of a fucking deposit account with Santander not too long ago.

Turns out, they don't keep that much on hand for independent 'customers' because there might not be enough for everyone else!

What the fuck?

A high street clearing bank deposit account not being able to give me my four grand, they said I would have to order it and collect the day later.

So I said OK, I'll take it tomorrow, but hen tomorrow comes I don't want the four, I want it all, just short of fifteen grand ... and close the account.

Fuck them.

I spent the paper on gold.

 Quoting: N3m3s1s

Short Version:

The Fed is printing tons of cash (Check out the 2011 and 2012 printing numbers on the site below against printing numbers in prior years)

[link to www.moneyfactory.gov]

They were supposed to switch the Series 2009 for Series 2011 last year, but for some reason they scrapped that and they are still printing 2009 series for everything except $100 bills, which is moving into a new series (2012 or 2013) that they have not yet put into circulation.

[link to www.newmoney.gov]

Now it appears through anicdotal evidence and sources in the banking industry that even though in 2011 they increased printing of currency, and in 2012 they more than doubled the amount of currency printed for some denominations, there is a currency crunch going on. Banks are only able to withdraw a minimal amount for cash withdrawals, business', and ATM providers. This, even though the banks I talked too always kept far more than adequate cash reserves in the past. So the question is why is the Fed limiting cash withdrawals to banks that have adequate liquidity and more than enough money in their Fed accounts to get as much cash as they want? Because this in turn is leading to the banks limiting your cash withdrawals!

So why?

After talking to my banking sources I came up with two reasonable reasons for this capital control of cash withdrawals, and they and I believe this is happening in conjunction with Capital Controls enacted by law that go into effect on Jan 1, 2013.

1.) Tracking purposes. It's easier for the Feds to track debit card purchases than cash. They can track for trends, tax purposes, and criminal purposes much easier. They want a cashless society (no surprise there).

2.) An impending crash of the world financial system (perhaps in conjunction with the release of the new $100 bill sometime in 2013). Today bank runs are mainly electronic, moving money to safe havens, but after Jan 1 2013 this is going to be much harder to do, and there may be no safe havens. So this limitation of cash available to banks would make it impossible for people to physically run on their bank and totally drain their accounts. The banks can truthfully say, we don't have the cash on hand!

But the cash is there, it's being printed, it's being stockpiled, but it's not being circulated. Anyone else having an opinion as to why is welcome to advance their theory here...

How about this for a theory--

The Gov wants to keep the boat afloat
The FED-who basically is directed by the member banks,is sitting on a boat load of cash and the member banks do not want the mortgage bailout to work, and to create justification for QE(x).

They slow the flow of cash by not lending it out and restricting the M1 money supply. This currency shrinkage aids in reducing the Vt.

The current in the economic engine is money-less current less economic activity.Less activity means less business and more people unable to make ends meet.

The member banks will win by continued Quantitative Easing and also by asset acquisition-your house, business etc.A Win-Win for them if there ever was one.

Again I am not an expert on economics. So I could be way off base on this idea. But I know the big hitters do nothing by accident. This is after all a conspiracy site.

The banks are running EXTREMELY short on cash, anything over a $1000 withdrawal seems to throw them into a panic.

I worked for a Large Regional Bank in Texas for 2 months short of Ten Years...this is NOT NORMAL!!!

I witnessed a little small-scale panic at my credit union. I wanted to withdraw a large chunk before 'the holiday' because with all the financial shenanigans going on, I feel safer physically holding my loot, instead of having pretend digital money for on-line banking. weird, right?

Well, it flipped them out! I asked for half in 20s since most stores are suspicious of 50s or 100s. But I had to take mostly big bills because they didn't have that many 20s, and it still took 4 cashier's drawers to let me have my requested withdrawal.

I'm sure they limit what cashiers have at the front counter because of bank-robbery risks, but they were on the phone and calling the back. Finally got it together.

Then the teller asked, "so what do you need all that for?"

I just smiled and said, "oh, Thanksgiving, Christmas, holiday travel, Mayan End of the World, all that fun stuff. I just wanted to hold my Monopoly play money before it all hits." I was joke-laughing, he was unsure-laughing. but I wasn't really being funny.

Here's the dates he gave me
20s -- 2004, 2004A, 2006, 2008, lots of 2009
50s -- 1996!, 2004, 2006, 2009
100s -- 2001, 2003, 2006A nothing more recent

in my wallet 1s -- 1s, 5s and 10s are only 2006 or 2009

I work retail and you have me curious the check all the bills I touch to see if anything from more recent printings is on the market at all... Isn't it weird the things you never question.

1. As OP noted, those bills may be brand new even though they say 2009. They are still printing the 2009 series apparently.

2. I am sure banks can get as much cash as they require. But the demand for cash is driven by consumer behavior. When a customer takes out a loan, the bank creates electronic money and deposits it in an account for him. (It also creates the torresponding asset in its books.) It will request cash from the Fed in exchange for some of that cash asset. When the borrower actually comes and wants some cash from that loan, the bank provides the cash.

So if nobody's taking loans from the bank, there is no demand that the Fed print bills, and so they don't get printed or circulated.
