This has the ring of plausibility. It combines alleged facts I have heard from other sources, namely the buying back of arms, the presence of large amounts of cash and the notion that he had been left vulnerable on purpose by his superiors. The rest is new to me though.

Patreaus and Broadwell both worked in counter-terrorism. They investigated people that hid things in email. They knew the access that the government had to emails.
