I was contemplating joining the crowd. I have lived a good and decent life. I accept responsibility for my actions and expect no one to take care of me or mine. I kept thinking, why? I am thirty years old, university educated, hard-working and pretty intelligent if I do say so myself. I've found myself living back with my parents (I consider myself very lucky to have a supportive family still), and I've just had to sell my car because I couldn't afford the ever increasing cost of running it (and it was only a Fiat 500), especially insurance and fuel. I'm working part-time as a night office cleaner because that's all I've been able to find. I still have a girlfriend but things get very strained because we have no money and we don't have our own living space. What I do when I get depressed is to look at photographs of the holocaust and the people getting shot in the face by Nazi death squads - there are lots of such pictures. When you see the terror and despair in their eyes then it puts your own life back into perspective. Things may suck now compared to what you had, but you can at least count yourself lucky to not be suffering as many millions have. Keep your spirit up. Harden your mind. Keep going and keep trying. That's all any of us can do. Thoughts with you mate. |

You can be a good person, you also need Jesus or Yahsuha or Emanuel, the names people call Christ. Things happen to believers, too. Life isn't a give me more all the time, you get tested, you hold on to the promise that God gave us. It is better to be a good man than a bad one, if you and God knows it. The people who take are, in a pickle with God for doing the bad things. The world calls bad good and good bad, it was foretold that this would happen. Hold you head up, you aren't the problem.
