I was writing up a document last week listing all my health problems. I had put off doing this for about the past year or so, because I figured if I put everything down in one document, I'd probably end of severly depressed. I was right, but what I want to share with you is my comment after the list (and no, I'm not a hypochondriac). This is it, unedited:

"So, here I am, XX years old of wasted life, constant pain and terrible health, no mate, no family, no friends, and broke (ironically, with skills a lot of people wish they had). A lot of people, right up until this day, have misunderstood patience and forgiveness and even friendliness for weakness. I have felt like a psychic sponge all my life, and I don’t seem to be able to stop it. People love to unload on someone they perceive as weak, when it requires strength not to prey on others."

I know exactly how you feel, and maybe in ways we are unable to verbalize.

I do much better when I don't listen to news or watch little TV. The media's true job is to control you, and they do that through fear. The more you expose youself to this negativity, the worse you'll feel. My point here is that the media wants you to believe things are worse in this world by emphasizing the negative and pretty much ignoring the good news. They throw in a 30 second "human interest" story at the end of an hour long blitzkreig on your psyche, and,hey, see? We report good news too..

I just wanted to make this one point. Things are NOT as bad as the media would have you think. DON'T BELIEVE IT!

I hope maybe sharing my recent feelings about where my life is too will get others thinking that we're not alone. Hang in there, my friend!

Christianity is only good if you stay away from organized versions of it. If you get involved in a church and what not they will just tell you what to believe..

The documented form of Christianity is true, however what organized religion has done with it is false.

Moreover, yes it can give you some peace (I know I am a follower of the way..) but in the end what humanity does is what humanity does. God will not put a stop to it, he will let humanity implode... even scripture tells us that. Most institutions of organized christianity will tell you that GOD is destroying the world for sin. That is just patently not true, Humanity is destroying the world with sin (which is just another way of saying evil.) Scripture tells us that God will let it go right up until the moment that mankind is about to exterminate the entire species from the globe and then He will step in and bring peace with His rule...

So yes, you should be a Christian because it's about making it to the next life on this world when God brings peace... but in this world now, the Age of Mankind, it is about us and what we want to do... and mankind has chosen evil in majority over good. So the world is the way it is... and will not get any better unless mankind wakes up and realizes that there is so much more to reality other than what THEY want it to be.

What does history tell us? That two world wars is not enough? Have you forgotten the heartache, the grief, the terror? It is a beautiful thing to have compassion for human suffering and I hope that the gestures of love and hope are
helpful to him as well as others.
But I cant help feeling that part of the reason he and many
are in this predicament is because many men have not been taught how to be Spiritual warriors
but have been kept confused and unfocused.
Never understanding how to pro actively anticipate and recognize certain destructive forces
or to understand the real nature of some of the battles they are confronted with.....just reacting or
trusting and hoping that for the most part people would do the "right thing".

There is a man by the name of Roy Masters who might
be of some help to you.(Foundation of Human Understanding
FHU) He is far from perfect but he has rich and practical insights into the battles both internal and external that
we face. He is elderly and somewhat eccentric but I myself
learned volumes listening to him. A great help in sorting through confusion. Sorry I could not post a link.

To answer your main question, the decay of the world is no surprise to any christian. This has been prophesied in detail in the Bible. For example,

2 Tim. 3:
"3 Here is what I want you to know. There will be terrible times in the last days. 2 People will love themselves. They will love money. They will brag and be proud. They will tear others down. They will not obey their parents. They won’t be thankful or holy. 3 They won’t love others. They won’t forgive others. They will tell lies about people. They will be out of control. They will be wild. They will hate what is good.

4 They will turn against their friends. They will act without thinking. They will think they are better than others. They will love what pleases them instead of loving God. 5 They will act as if they were serving God. But what they do will show that they have turned their backs on God’s power. Have nothing to do with those people."

Jesus was also very specific in Matthew 24:
"4 Jesus told them, “Don’t let anyone mislead you, 5 for many will come in my name, claiming, ‘I am the Messiah.’ They will deceive many. 6 And you will hear of wars and threats of wars, but don’t panic. Yes, these things must take place, but the end won’t follow immediately. 7 Nation will go to war against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. There will be famines and earthquakes in many parts of the world. 8 But all this is only the first of the birth pains, with more to come.

9 Then you will be arrested, persecuted, and killed. You will be hated all over the world because you are my followers. 10 And many will turn away from me and betray and hate each other. 11 And many false prophets will appear and will deceive many people. 12 Sin will be rampant everywhere, and the love of many will grow cold. 13 But the one who endures to the end will be saved. 14 And the Good News about the Kingdom will be preached throughout the whole world, so that all nations[c] will hear it; and then the end will come."

Note what happens to christians in verses 9-10. The god of this world, the devil, punishes you if you try to do whats right. So you can't make it through to salvation, if you aren't willing to suffer the persecution of the righteous. However the suffering of those who do evil will be far greater in the long run. Thus it is better to put your faith in Jesus Christ, now before it's too late.

I've been thinking about you all day. I know it's hard right now. I've been struggling with the current world myself but everyday I wake up to a beautiful sunrise and remember that I can't let the evil overtake my goodness. Goodness rises above evil. I have beautiful memories that brought me here. Yes, I've struggled but I believe the path to peace is through trials and triumping over whatever brought you down. Be strong. Love yourself and give and help others in spite of the others who find joy of being evil. Good night my friend:)
