This is a reluctant conspiracy ... Mcafee developed a super virus for computers and marketed it as a Anti- virus. (note he sold controlling interests in the company in the early 90's and had told reporters that his then 100 million dollar fortune had demished to 4 million in 09) he may have been recruited to do a specific job for a specific reason , or having developed the software had access to certain confidential intel that could jeopardize the stability of the world .... Either way the cover up used is "by the book"

No sign of forced entry- a possible friend ( not known adversary )or an official (law enforcement , agent etc )
