That does make sense, wouldn't be surprised if this is indeed true. I'm in centeral Ohio, my area rarely has problems with the weather. So I doubt our insurance covers 'named storms'. We do tend to have winterstorms though and sometimes just plain windstorms which do produce some damage.
In the past we've usually related the storm to what year/month it happened, but this naming thing is usually done for hurricanes not winterstorms. I don't even see how or why they should change it up unless it was to help towards their greater plan. Naming them seems rather pointless since winterstorms are not generally as bad or big as hurricanes are.
