I have a mossberg 500 12 gague and want to know if I need to have a slug barrel to shoot slugs. I'm going deer hunting and want to use slugs but don't wanna buy a slug barrell. Thanks.

The difference is bored barrel vs smooth barrel. It will say on the slug box which is required.
