I have noted more and more in the last month nuke plants shutting down. Most report "an unusual event" and shut down. I am on this fence if this is a good thing or not. On the one hand I do not like the sound of "an unusual event", on the other hand I would like to see them all shut down before something worse happens.
Quoting: Plenty Paws You could shut them all down today and you would still have to supply power to them for cooling for more than 30 years. Reactors are dirty machines.
