Quoting: Anonymous Coward 26312040 Texan's can provide for their own military protection. A month of boot camp/training/guarding for able bodied citizens beats the hell out of DHS's bootjaq gestapo running Amerika. Nothing against gays, but anyone with a brain knows Obama just wants to appeal to them for more votes.. I signed it, and told everyone I know to. I hope it goes through. Obama supporters should be put in their own state if they want a dictatorship. |

The world has changed, circumstances have changed and this union can surely change. Perhaps Texas or any of the other states for that matter want to remain nuetral or perhaps this show of disapproval for American interventionism, illegal drone wars, and outright attack on our civil liberties will send the message to the world that we too are sick of it and no longer support those policies. This doesn't have to be bloody it can be peaceful done. I am cheering for Texas on this one...GO TEXAS GO!!! IF any state can serve as an example for seccession they can they have one of the largest economies in the world and practically no debt!!! Sign it |

I agree that these secession threads will result in nothing more that a grumbling complaint and it's why I reiterate my call to sign the OTHER petition of interest on that site which calls for a recount. [link to petitions.whitehouse.gov (secure)] I truly believe that their "response" may be nothing more than words on paper, even to the recount petition. However, it will possibly bring the issue to light in the main stream and thus gain a little momentum. One of these days... A *REAL* rain is gonna come and wash all this scum off the streets. |
