WAKEUPAMERICA01 User ID: 24094200 United States 11/13/2012 02:37 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | I am sure most Texans would gladly accept any of you god loving, gun lovin liberal hating folks any time. I know I would. WAKE UP AMERICA "I love the man that can smile in trouble, that can gather strength from distress, and grow brave by reflection. 'Tis the business of little minds to shrink; but he whose heart is firm, and whose conscience approves his conduct, will pursue his principles unto death." Thomas Paine, The American Crisis, No. 1, December 19, 1776 "Those who expect to reap the blessings of freedom, must, like men, undergo the fatigues of supporting it." Thomas Paine, The American Crisis, No. 4, September 11, 1777 "I believe that banking institutions are more dangerous to our liberties than standing armies. Already they have raised up a monied aristocracy that has set the government at defiance. The issuing power (of money) should be taken away from the banks and restored to the people to whom it properly belongs." -- Thomas Jefferson, U.S. President. "A majority of the people of the United States have lived all of their lives under emergency rule. For 40 years, [79 years now in 2012] freedoms and governmental procedures guaranteed by the Constitution have in varying degrees been abridged by laws brought into force by statutes of national emergency." |
Anonymous Coward User ID: 27568470 Belgium 11/13/2012 03:38 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | As a non-Texan I do think that Texas (and California) "could" survive as independent economic countries, whereas most others states, and even some entire regions could NOT. 25,000,000 people is clearly enough people for creating a country. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 25450407 I will point out though with current Demographic trends Hispanics WILL outnumber Whites in Texas by 2020, and when combined with Blacks (about 12% of the population), the current minorities in that State will greatly outnumber Whites by then. And then, don't forget about Mecha. Are they still very active ? This is a movement which, in a nation with this kind of a population, might be a strong influence for "bonding" with the mother country (by which I mean Mexico). All kinds of things could happen. Well, then, they should just send ALL the mexicans back to mexico and all the blacks to africa Please cut the c***. Mecha was a very strong influence on American campuses a decade ago. You don't see them mentioned much in the news anymore, but that doesn't mean anything. Their motto is or was "All for the race (la raza), nothing for the others". La raza is supposed to be the "bronze" people, the Mexican aboriginals - the Aztecs and such. |

It just makes sense, doesn't it ? What sense would there be in me, living in New York City (just as an example), petitioning for the secession of California ? It's the Californians' business, not mine, whether California should secede or shouldn't. |

Anyone can be in favor of that. Also, this is at a public DIY petition site, so it isn't topic- or constituency-constrained. Don't assume or invent restrictions where there aren't any... |

People really don't seem to understand. This is an indicator,a strong indicator, of discontent. If what is causing this anger and discontent isn't fixed, and it won't be, it will get worse. It took around 10-15 years from when the first disagreements surfaced for the 1st American revolution to begin. I don't know where on the timeline we presently are but we are definitely on it. |

I know for us here in Texas, we know that Perry is willing to do this. He has stated it before. Last time, it didn't get enough MSM coverage, but this is 4 years later, and more internet sights, so.... He will see that the people of Texas are really fed up with our government, we are trying to say NO to Obama care, say NO to taking out 2nd and 10th amendment away, etc... we of course could go on for hours listing the complaints. |

"Mr. President, please sign an executive order such that each American citizen who signed a petition from any state to secede from the USA shall have their citizenship stripped and be peacefully deported," the full petition reads." |

I guess these morans think obama is a czar with no checks on power and can unilaterally act in this matter. But then that is part of the problem, people who have no understanding of the rule of law. |
