If you had no idea who St. George was, and he appeared to you, would you just be seeing an old man telling you not to listen to metal? How is Avenged Sevenfold anything like Metallica? At times the vocals sound like they might have a bit of a James Hetfield influence, but that's the only similarity I've ever picked up, and I started listening to those bands like 7 years ago...

No no no. You can't say the whole of heavy metal is from the devil. Personally, I don't listen to the creepy stuff, and I have no interest in figuring out if there is some spiritual influence going on or if some people are just attracted to fucked up stuff.
