Many believe there will be one huge event that will give unbelievers a very last-minute wakeup call, and then we're out of here. And yes, the haters can yell "good riddance" as we go; the feeling will be mutual.

If I read the OP correctly the effect will come at the time of the solar eclipse that starts tomorrow in Queensland Australia on the 14 It will move east and cross the International date line and the date will become the 13th. The Sun will become a gravitational lens and focus the energy from the Galactic center right on the area of the eclipse. I just checked my stellarium and it looks like the moon is lining up the closest to the Sun tomorrow around 4:45 central time.

Thank you for that explanation. Sounds like this eclipse will be doing a bit of time-travel, going from the 14th of November back in time to the 13th. Weird.

Although it is currently 4:37 on Tuesday, November 13th, the Russian's countdown clock reads 6 minutes and 32 seconds to go. That would bring us to approximately 11 AM on Tuesday morning, Russian time. So what is the countdown for if he says the night of the 14th is the time to watch?! Is this confusing anyone else?

Nov 13/14 we have a new moon in perigree with the earth and a full eclipse. Sounds like 2004.
